Where To Find The Sunflower Sea Star in Coral Island https://playerassist.com/find-sunflower-sea-star-coral-island/ Thu, 25 Jan 2024 18:49:26 +0000 https://playerassist.com/?p=436824

Coral Island, developed by Stairway Games, is a tropical farming simulation game that aims to differentiate itself by emphasizing inclusiveness and diversity. The game also involves exploring a large map, underwater diving, and environmental cleanup to help regenerate Coral Island and eventually deal with the immediate threat from the Pufferfish Drilling Corporation, among others.

Where To Find The Sunflower Sea Star in Coral Island

In the game, players can catch many varieties of fish. This guide will discuss finding the Sunflower Sea Star in Coral Island. Understanding the skill of fishing, identifying their habitats, and employing precise techniques are essential for pulling in these critters. The search for the Sunflower Sea Star amid teeming marine life and a diverse overall ecosystem ensures a great fishing expedition and the delight of finding these intriguing creatures in all their glory.

How to Find Sunflower Sea Stars

The player can find Sunflower Sea Stars, like the other fish, forageables, and crops in the game, in the proper and specific environmental settings. For this, the player can attempt to find them in the correct area, season, dates, weather, and time of day using the correct ability and tools. The requirements that the player must fulfill to find the Sunflower Sea Stars are as follows:

Ability

Although the Sunflower Sea Stars are, as the name implies, sea creatures, the player will not be able to use fishing to find them. The Sunflower Sea Star is one type of the many ocean critters that the player can discover in the game. This means that the player has to head underwater through the Diving ability.

The player can unlock the Diving ability after getting a letter in the mail from the Head of Starlet Laboratory named Ling. This letter will say that the lab is looking for a suitable diving candidate. Because of that, it will ask the player to head to the Diving Pier for an on-site test for compatibility. The player will receive this letter on the player’s first 8th day of the Spring season. Once at the Diving Pier, the player will get a Diving Suit for diving!

After unlocking it, the player can interact with the boat at the Diving Pier to begin their dive. The player can dive between 6:00 AM and 11:00 PM (23:00).

The Diving Pier is located in the southernmost part of the map of Coral Island. From the player’s farm, the player must exit at the bottom of the player’s farm to head down to the beach. Next, on the beach, run across it to the right to reach a big wooden pathway.

After that, the player must then head up the stairs and continue on the path. Head to the edge of the pier after the Diving sign. Here, the player can interact with the ladder to dive underwater! The player can either return to the start point or where the player had previously left the anchor.

Skills

The player will be able to unlock a skill every two rises in the player’s Catching mastery level. There are a couple of Catching Skills that can help in finding Sunflower Sea Stars:

  • Light Feet – with this skill, the ocean critters and insects will become aware of the player 10% slower.
  • Double Catch – unlock this skill to gain an extra 5% chance for the player to catch double ocean critters and insects.
  • Balanced Body – this skill will improve the player’s movement speed while using a Bug Net by 50%.
  • Scent Duration – The player can unlock this skill to increase the effects of Scents by 25% when catching. This skill is the last skill that the player can unlock. However, players cannot unlock this skill by leveling up their Catching mastery. To unlock this skill, the player must reach the maximum level and use Catching Elixirs to get more skill points. The player can buy Catching Elixirs from the Community Center Shop. The player must spend Merit Points to purchase this and other elixirs.

Location

As mentioned above, the player has to dive under the sea to find some Sunflower Sea Stars. When diving, the player must explore a map different from the island’s. The player must head to Lima Pulu to find the Sunflower Sea Stars. Specifically, the player must go to the Unnamed Area 1 and Area 5 in Lima Pulu.

The areas the player can explore when diving are divided according to depth. The player must dive 50 to 60 meters deep to get to Lima Pulu. Lima Pulu is the deepest area the player can explore. This is located in the northwesternmost part of the map under the ocean.

The Lima Pulu area is also divided into five parts. As mentioned, the player can find Sunflower Sea Stars in the Unnamed Areas 1 and 5. Unnamed Area 1 is in the western part of Lima Pulu. On the other hand, the Unnamed Area is in the northern part of the area.

How to Reach

Under the sea, the different main areas are separated because of the black growth due to the oil spill. To progress and go deeper, the player must collect solar orbs and activate the beacons to restore and unlock the other areas. Once diving under the sea for the first time, the player will reach the shallowest section of the 10 to 20-meter zone. This area is the Se Pulu area.

As mentioned, the Lima Pulu area is the deepest area that the player can explore. This means that this area is the last one that the player can head to. From Se Pulu, the player must activate 20 beacons to get an upgraded Diving Suit and reach the second area, the Dua Pulu area. This is the 20 to 30-meter zone. After activating beacons in this area, the player can go to the Merfolk Kingdom. This is the 30 to 40-meter zone.

In the Merfolk Kingdom, the Merfolk will decide if they trust the player to go to the deeper parts of the ocean. Once they do and grant the player permission, the player can go right through to the fourth area, the Empat Pulu area. This area is the 40 to 50-meter zone. The player must activate beacons to proceed to the Lima Pulu area in this zone.

Season and Time of Day

The player will only be able to catch the Sunflower Sea Star during the Spring and Summer seasons in Coral Island. As for the time of day they appear, the player can attempt to catch some Sunflower Sea Stars for the whole day and dive underwater.

The game’s months are divided into four seasons: Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter.

Spring is the very first season the player will encounter on Coral Island. During this season, the weather warms up, and plant life blooms. This season occurs right after the Winter season and before the Summer season.

The Summer season marks the player’s second in Coral Island. When summer comes in, most spring crops will have been wilted. This leaves the player with a new stock of crops. This season also introduces new types of things for players to scavenge. The summer season comes following the spring season but before the fall season.

As for the time of day, the entire day is divided in two. The Daytime is from 6:00 AM to 5:50 PM (or 06:00 to 17:50 if using the 24-hour format). On the other hand, the Nighttime is from 6:00 PM to 11:50 PM (or 18:00 to 23:50 if using the 24-hour format). As mentioned above, the player can only dive between 6:00 AM and 11:00 PM (23:00). The player can attempt to find Sunflower Sea Stars for 17 in-game hours per day.

How to Change the Time Speed

Coral Island’s time is set at one in-game hour for every 45 real-world seconds at its default setting. This means that one full 24-hour in-game day equals 18 minutes or 1,080 seconds in the real world.

In the game, the player will have the ability to control the rate at which time passes. To accomplish this, the player must follow the steps below:

  1. First, the player must go to the pause menu. Here, click the ‘Settings’ option. This option appears below the ‘Feedback’ and ‘Return to Title’ options.
  2. Following that, in the Settings menu, the player must select the ‘Game’ tab at the top. This is the leftmost tab at the top of the screen.
  3. After that, the player must select the ‘Game Time Speed’ option within the ‘Game’ menu. This is found beneath the ‘Allow Usage Tracking’ feature and above the ‘Display Quest HUD’ feature.
  4. Next, the player can adjust the desired rate on the right side of the ‘Game Time Speed’ feature. The function’s minimum and maximum settings are 50% and 100%, respectively.

If the ‘Game Time Speed’ option is set to 50%, the duration of the day in the game will slow down. With this setting. one hour in the game will now equal 67.5 seconds in the real world, rather than the default 45 real-world seconds. This means that a full 24-hour day in the game now lasts 27 minutes or 1620 seconds in actual world time.

With this feature, the player will have additional time to complete tasks in one in-game day. This gives the player additional time to try to find Sunflower Sea Stars.

Tools

Catching Ocean Critter
Courtesy of Sarah Sunstone

The player will use the Scythe as the main tool when diving underwater. Using this tool, the player can slice through kelp and seaweed patches and break up trash. However, to find the Sunflower Sea Stars and other ocean critters, the player can use a Bug Net or a Critter Trap to catch them.

Bug Net

The player can use the Bug Net to catch insects on the island and the critters in the ocean. To get the player’s first Bug Net, the player must take on the “Visit the Beach Shack” main quest. The player can take this main quest as early as the third day of the player’s first year. In this quest, the player will receive a Bug Net for free.

When successfully catching a bug or critter, the Bug Net will consume 20 points of the player’s energy. If the swing of the Bug Net fails to catch a bug or critter, it will only consume 1 point of energy. The player can increase their Catching mastery level to lower the energy used when utilizing the Bug Net.

At the first level, the player will have a 5% energy cost reduction when using the Bug Net. Every time the player’s Catching mastery level rises, the decrease in energy cost will get an extra 5%. This means that at level 10, the player will get 50% of decreased energy cost.

Another way to reduce the energy used when using the Bug Net is by taking consumables that give off the Catching Proficiency buff. This buff will increase the player’s Bug Net proficiency by 10%. Only two foods in the game give off the Catching Proficiency buff: Bug Jerky and Peyek.

The quality of the consumable taken dictates the duration that the buff will take effect. Base quality consumables will have two in-game hours; Silver consumables will have 2 hours and 18 minutes; Gold consumables will last for three in-game hours; and Osmium consumables will take up to 4 hours.

The Bug Net can have a larger catch radius and angle once upgraded. The most basic type of Bug Net has a radius of 200 and an angle of 35. Once it is upgraded to the Bronze Bug Net,  it will improve the radius to 230 and 37. The player can then upgrade it to the Silver Bug Net with a radius of 260 and an angle of 39. The next level is the Gold Bug Net, which has a radius of 300 and an angle of 41.

The highest form of the Bug Net is the Osmium Bug Net, which has a radius of 400 and an angle of 45. Each of these upgrades has its requirements, which include several types of essence, a lot of wood or hardwood, and a lot of coral coins.

The Sunflower Sea Star is an uncommon ocean critter that is hard to find and catch. Because of this, it is recommended that the player upgrade their Bug Net to at least the Silver Bug Net. Upgrading it to the Gold Bug Net would be even better.

How to Catch Using the Bug Net

To capture an ocean critter using a Bug Net, the player must approach the critter and swing the Bug Net. The player has to aim the Bug Net so that the ocean critter is highlighted and captured within the catch area of the net. All ocean creatures will notice when the player approaches them. For this, the player can see an alertness indicator above the ocean critter.

When the player lets go of the button while the ocean critter is highlighted, the captured ocean critter is added to the player’s inventory. The ocean critter will quickly run away if the player fails to capture the ocean critter before the circle indicator fills up entirely.

The player will still be able to try to catch a critter as it runs away. However, the more difficult a critter is to catch, the more quickly it moves, the more easily it detects the player’s existence, and the faster its circle alertness indicator fills up.

Critter Trap

The player will be able to use a Critter Trap to catch well critters that the player can find in the ocean. To use Critter Traps, the player has to put them in an unoccupied 1×1 space located in an outdoor spot while diving. After it is set up, a Critter Trap can passively catch nearby critters.

The critters the player can capture with a Critter Trap depend on what is likely to be found naturally in the region where the player set the trap. A Critter Trap can also have a critter just appear inside it the next day.

The player can craft two ocean critter traps in the game: Crawler Trap and Float Trap. However, to find and catch the Sunflower Sea Stars, the player only needs to use the Crawler Trap. This item allows the player to only catch ocean critters that crawl on the sea floor, like the Sunflower Sea Stars.

The player, however, will not get this item right from the get-go and must first unlock it. To do that, the player must get their Catching level to 5. Once that is done, the player will get the crafting recipe for the Crawler Trap. To get one, the player must craft one and will not be able to buy one. To craft a Crawler Trap, the player must have one piece of Silver Bar, five pieces of Seaweed, and five pieces of Wood.

To find and catch a Sunflower Sea Star, the player can place multiple Crawler Traps in the abovementioned areas. Then, the player can now hope that at least one of these Crawler Traps will catch a Sunflower Sea Star.

Scents

The player can use Scents on the Critter Trap to help catch ocean critters and insects. With Scents in traps, the player can decrease the insect or ocean critter’s awareness for some time

As previously mentioned, the Sunflower Sea Star is a crawling ocean critter, so the player can use the Crawler Trap to find and catch one. The player can use the Crawling Critter Scent for crawling ocean critters like the Sunflower Sea Star. This Scent will reduce the awareness of the crawling ocean critters by 4%. This will last for 3 hours and 8 minutes in the game.

Before the player can get a Crawling Critter Scent, the player must first unlock it. To do that, the player must get their Catching level to 4. Once that is done, the player will get the crafting recipe for the Crawling Critter Scent. Also, the player can now purchase some Crawler Critter Scents.

The player can purchase a Crawling Critter Scent from Sunny’s Beach Shack. This shop is located near the beach in the southeastern part of the map. The player can find Sunny’s Beach Shack northeast of the Diving Pier or south of 2 Parkview. Once in Sunny’s Beach Shack, the player can buy a piece of Crawling Critter Scent for 50 Coral Coins. The player can buy them during any season in the game.

To craft some Crawling Critter Scents, the player must have five pieces of Seaweed and one piece of any flower. With these exact crafting materials, the player will get two pieces of Crawling Critter Scents.

Sunflower Sea Star

In Coral Island, the Sunflower Sea Star is described as a ruthless, predatory creature that consumes dead or alive prey. The Sunflower Sea Star is classified as an ocean critter with an Uncommon rarity. The Uncommon rarity is the second level of rarities in the game. Each rarity of ocean critters in the game has its rarity distribution for most of their spawn areas. The rarity distribution for ocean critters with an Uncommon rarity is 20%.

The Sunflower Sea Star is also classified as an ocean critter with a medium catch difficulty. The Medium difficulty is the second level of catching difficulties in the game. The player gains more Catching mastery experience when successfully catching ocean critters that are classified as more difficult to catch. When successfully catching an ocean critter of Medium difficulty, like the Sunflower Sea Star, the player will get 10 Catching mastery experience points. The player will also get bonus Catching mastery experience points for the quality of the critter that has been caught.

Uses

Now that the player has found and caught some Sunflower Sea Stars, what’s now? In Coral Island, the player can use the Sunflower Sea Star in various ways. Among these are to sell it, to offer it to Lake Temple, to give it to other characters, or to donate it to the museum.

Sell Them

The player can sell some Sunflower Sea Stars for Coral Coins, as was mentioned above. The quality of the caught Sunflower Sea Star determines the number of coral coins the player may get from selling it. The following are the selling prices for the Sunflower Sea Star: a Base quality Sunflower Sea Star sells for 95 Coral Coins, a Bronze quality sells for 109 Coral Coins, a Silver quality sells for 124 Coral Coins, a Gold quality sells for 143 Coral Coins, and an Osmium quality sells for 190 Coral Coins.

The player can use a Catching Skill to get slightly higher odds of catching Sunflower Sea Stars and other ocean critters and insects with better quality. This Catching Skill is the Quality Catch skill. With this skill, the player will have an extra 5% chance of catching ocean critters and insects of better quality.

Additionally, another Catching Skill affects the selling price of Sunflower Sea Stars. This Catching Skill is the Catch Price skill. The player can unlock this skill to increase the selling price of the player’s caught ocean critters and insects by 25%. With this Catching Skill, the selling price of a Sunflower Sea Star will change to the following: the Base quality Sunflower Sea Star will now sell for 119 Coral Coins, the Bronze quality will now sell for 137 Coral Coins, the Silver quality will now sell for 154 Coral Coins, the Gold quality will now sell for 178 Coral Coins, and the Osmium quality will now sell for 238 Coral Coins.

The player can sell items using the shipping bin on their farm or directly to the many shops all over the island. There is no difference between the money earned from selling products to a shop and selling items using the shipping bin. It is worth noting, however, that shops typically only purchase specific types of items. Additionally, the player receives the Coral Coins only at the end of the day for selling products through the shipping bin. This happens after the player goes to bed and sleeps.

Offer Them

The best use for the Sunflower Sea Star that the player can do is to offer them to Lake Temple. This temple, which acts as the Goddess’ dwelling place, is crucial in the game. To strengthen the town’s relationship with the Goddess and Giants, the player must make several offerings in the temple.

The player will be able to find the Lake Temple in the middle of the, well, lake, in the northeasternmost part of the map of Coral Island. This is east of the Wildlife Enthusiasts building and northeast of the Mayor’s House.

The player will have access to multiple altars within the Lake Temple. Each one of the altars requires six forms of offerings. The offerings they require are often made up of no fewer than five items in a single bundle. With that, the player has to get a range of materials via various means.

When completing a specified bundle at the Lake Temple, the player will get several kinds of rewards corresponding to the offering the player made. The following are the altars inside the Lake Temple: the Crop Altar, the Catch Altar, the Advanced Altar, and the Rare Altar.

The Sunflower Sea Star is one of the requirements for the Ocean Critters offering in the Catch Altar. Besides a piece of Sunflower Sea Star, the Ocean Critters offering requires one piece of Cannonball Jellyfish, one piece of Hermit Crab, one piece of Sexy Shrimp, and one piece of Pom-pom Crab. The player will receive one piece of Crawler Trap as a reward for fulfilling the Ocean Critters offering.

When the player completes two Catch Altar offerings, it will unlock the Hillside Waypoint. After finishing each of the six offerings for the Catch Altar, the player will gain access to the Dig Site and receive 40 Heritage Points. In addition, the Forest Sacred Tree will be healed.

Donate Them

The player’s next option for the Sunflower Sea Star is to donate it to the Museum. Here, the player can donate critters, insects, artifacts, fish, and gems. After doing so, the museum will then display the donated items. For each donation made, the player will receive 3 Museum Points. In addition, the player will receive 40 Museum Points for providing and finishing each complete set of ocean critters, insects, artifacts, fish, and fossils. The player can locate the Museum around the middle of the map. This is located west of the Community Center or southeast of the Carpenter.

With that, the player may donate a Sunflower Sea Star to get one step closer to finishing the Critters Collection. To fulfill the Critters Collection, the player must give each kind of Ocean Critter in Coral Island. The total amount of required items is 45 Ocean Critters. In addition to the 40 Museum Points, completing the Critters Collection in the Museum earns the player a Seafarer Suit and the Marine Observer badge. Again, the player will earn 3 Museum Points for donating an Ocean Critter like the Sunflower Sea Stars.

Gift Them

Another option for the Sunflower Sea Star is to present it as a gift to other characters on Coral Island. The player can form friendships with the townies and other characters in Coral Island. The more the player knows about the other characters, the more narratives and dialogues they will share. Friendships between the player and the other characters do not decrease as time goes on.

Gifting is the major way of accumulating Friendship Points with characters and conversing with them. However, the player must offer them items they like to accomplish this. The game allows each character to receive up to two gifts per week.

Besides that, the player can give an additional gift to a character on their birthday in the game. The player must first put an item in their inventory hotbar to give it as a gift. After that, the player must talk to the character to whom they want to give the item.

The player can present most of the game’s items as gifts. Each character has unique gift preferences. This implies that every character has distinct things they love, like, dislike, hate, or are indifferent to. Characters will engage with the player in various ways based on their liking for the item. The more the character enjoys the presented item, the greater the number of Friendship Points the player earns. Items that the character dislikes or hates, however, reduce Friendship Points.

If a character loves the gifted item, the player will earn 140 Friendship Points. If they only like it, the player will receive 70 Friendship Points. However, if the character is indifferent to the item, the player will receive 35 Friendship Points. On the other hand, if a character dislikes the item, the player loses 35 Friendship Points. The player will lose 70 Friendship Points if the character hates the present.

It is vital to note that even if the player’s Friendship Points for a character are deducted, they will never fall lower than the current heart level. This means that the heart level isn’t going to drop a level and will remain at the lowest Friendship Points for that heart level.

Furthermore, the player will get additional Friendship Points if the gifted item is higher quality. If the gifted item is of Bronze quality, the Friendship Points will have a multiplier of 1.15x. If the gifted item is Silver quality, the Friendship Points earned have a multiplier of 1.3x. The player will receive Friendship Points with a 1.5x multiplier for Gold quality items. Finally, the Friendship Points the player receives have a multiplier of 2x for Osmium quality gifted items.

As previously stated, the player can also give gifts to characters on their birthdays. With this, the player’s Friendship Points will have a multiplier of 5x.

As for the Sunflower Sea Stars, no characters in the game love, like, are neutral to, or hate them. However, the following characters dislike receiving Sunflower Sea Stars as gifts: Aaliyah, Alice, Anne, Antonio, Archie, Ben, Betty, Bree, Chaem, Charles, Chieftain, Connor, Dinda, Dippa, Eleanor, Emily, Emma, Erika, Eva, Frank, Giu, Gong, Grog, Groo, Jack, Jim, Joko, Kenny, Kira, Leah, Lily, Ling, Luke, Macy, Mark, Millie, Nina, Noah, Oliver, Pablo, Paul, Rafael, Raj, Randy, Ratih, Sam, Scott, Suki, Sunny, Surya, Theo, Valentina, Wakuu, Walter, Wataru, Yur, Zarah, and Zoe.

Conclusion

Navigating the depths of Coral Island to find the Sunflower Sea Star is an exciting and rewarding endeavor. Successfully finding and catching the Sunflower Sea Star opens up many possibilities, from selling it for Coral Coins, offering it at the Lake Temple, or donating it to the Museum.

Each choice carries its rewards and contributes to the game’s overall progression. Armed with the Diving ability, players can unlock the mysteries of Lima Pulu. The endeavor requires honing Catching skills, upgrading tools like the Bug Net, and utilizing various strategies, such as deploying Critter Traps and Scents.

Furthermore, the seasonal considerations add depth to the gameplay. Coral Island’s meticulous attention to detail and diverse gameplay elements ensure that every player’s journey to locate and utilize the Sunflower Sea Star is a unique and fulfilling experience.

Earning Multibucks from the Battle Pass

As mentioned, you can earn some Multibucks by progressing through the Premium Battle Pass. However, you must purchase the Premium Battle Pass first, as the Multibucks rewards from the Battle Pass are Premium only. The Premium Battle Pass costs 1150 Multibucks or $9.99.

A screenshot showing the Multibucks cost of the Premium Battle Pass in The Finals.

You can get 75 Multibucks at Levels 3, 7, 12,19, 23, 27, 30, 35, 39, 43, 46, 50, 55, 63, 67, 70, 75, 78, 82, 85, and 91 of the Premium Battle Pass. If you can max out the Battle Pass in one season, you can earn up to 1575 Multibucks and recoup the 1150 Multibucks you spent on the Premium Battle Pass.

Are Multibucks worth it?

Using real money to purchase Multibucks is arguably not worth it, as skins and other cosmetic items from the in-game Store will not give you any competitive advantage in The Finals.

image 73

There’s also a good chance other players won’t give too much thought to your custom mask or that golden watch you have equipped when you’re in the middle of a firefight anyway, giving cosmetic items very little impact if you’re looking to show off in-game.

If you value how your character looks in-game, forking over real money to get Multibucks might be worth it. You’ll look extra cool in the pre-game load screen and in-game when you win first place in your next match.

Final Thoughts

Getting Multibucks in The Finals is fairly straightforward – access the in-game Multibucks icon and choose the bundle you want to purchase (PC), or head to the PlayStation Store/Xbox Store and purchase your desired Multibucks bundles there. Alternatively, you can purchase the Premium Battle Pass and grind through it to earn up to 1575 Multibucks.

How To Complete The Laser Ore Processor Alpha in Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora https://playerassist.com/how-to-complete-the-laser-ore-processor-alpha-in-avatar-frontiers-of-pandora/ Tue, 19 Dec 2023 13:48:43 +0000 https://playerassist.com/?p=434307

Destroy the Laser Ore Processor Alpha and reclaim the RDA Refinery in Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora.

How To Complete The Laser Ore Processor Alpha in Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora

The Laser Ore Processor Alpha in Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is a challenging mission where you must destroy a powerful weapon called the Laser Ore Processor Alpha. To get to the Laser Lens, you’ll hack several terminals and destroy systems within the RDA Outpost.

We will walk you through each part of the mission to help you complete Laser Ore Processor Alpha in Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora.

How to Complete The Laser Ore Processor Alpha

Completing the Laser Ore Processor Alpha is no easy task – you’ll have to sneak inside the refinery and find key terminals while avoiding powerful RDA soldiers. Read through each part of the following section to learn the best paths to take and how to complete the Laser Ore Processor Alpha in Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora.

Infiltrate the Refinery Housing the Laser Ore Processor Alpha

Head to Gate 03 next to a large yellow RDA truck. Within the area, look for the hook that allows you to get up to the rafters along the large Refinery text written on the side.

A screenshot of the refinery holding the Laser Ore Processor in Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora.

Walk along the rafters and go to the door on the other end. The guards will be alerted as soon as you use the hook, and you will take some damage as you cross the rafters, but keep running to the door to get to safety.

A screenshot of the rafters leading to the Laser Ore Processor Refinery in Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora.

Once you’re inside, take out the guards in the lower deck, then make your way to the console on the other end of the room. Walk along the yellow pipes towards your right and follow the platform to find the terminal.

A screenshot of the soldiers guarding the Laser Ore Processor in Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora.

At the console, use your SID tool to hack into the terminal. The hacking process shouldn’t take long; it only requires playing a straightforward hacking mini-game.

A screenshot of the first hacking terminal leading to the Laser Ore Processor.

After you hack the terminal, return to the door you entered and pass through the small hole in the wall to continue your push toward the Laser Ore Processor Alpha.

A screenshot of the small hole in the wall ladering to the cargo trench console.

Hack the Cargo Trench Control Console

After you cross the small hole in the wall, you will arrive at Checkpoint 02. Keep walking along the yellow pipes; the pipes will lead you to the next checkpoint.

A screenshot of yellow pipes leading to the Laser Ore Processor in Avatar.

At the Cargo Trench, make your way to the Control Center at the cargo area. You should find the next terminal here.

You can get to the top of the Control Center by jumping from the yellow pipes and onto the roof. Break the small vent and kill the guard inside to gain access to the terminal.

Use the SID tool again to hack into the terminal. You’ll have to play another mini-game to hack the circuits, but like the previous terminal, this one should also be easy. After completing this terminal, you’ll be one step closer to the Laser Ore Processor Alpha.

A screenshot showing the hacking process using the SID Tool in Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora.

Head to the Gas Pipeline Control Room

The next part of the mission requires you to head to the gas pipeline control room and hack into the control console for the gas pipeline. Like the first two terminals, use the SID tool to hack into the console.

A screenshot of the gas pipeline control room.

A series of explosions will occur right after you successfully hack the gas pipeline control terminal, alerting the RDA guards in the area. Shoot three gas pipeline shutoff valves (highlighted blue) to move on to the next part of the mission.

Reach the Slag Pit

After you destroy the gas pipelines, the next objective is to head and hack into the slag pit terminal.

A screenshot of soldiers guarding the Slag Pit.

There will be multiple guards in the area, so keep the high ground to snipe off the guards from a safe distance. Clear the guards first before dropping down to the lower deck.

Once the area is clear, go to the slag pit control room and hack into it using the SID tool. Several guards will arrive at the slag pit after you hack the slag pit terminal. Stay in the control room and deal with the enemies from there so you don’t take too much damage. The slag pit terminal is the last terminal you must hack before you head to the Laser Ore Processor Alpha room.

Reach the Smelting Unit

With the Slag Pit terminal hacked and the guards taken down, take the steps that lead to the maintenance area, then walk through the round vent. Carefully drop down to the platform below and onto the pipes leading to the Smelting Unit Control Room.

You will come across large electrically-charged pipes as you head for the Smelting Unit Control Room. Discharge the pipes by pulling the large lever down, then cross the pipes and make your way to the next room.

You will find a large vent in the next room. Destroy the vent to gain access to the Smelting Unit Control Room.

Once again, you’ll find yourself using the SID tool to hack into the Smelting Unit terminal. Play the hacking mini-game as you did with the previous terminals to hack the Smelting Unit terminal. The Smelting Room terminal is the final terminal you must hack before you come face to face with the Laser Ore Processor Alpha.

Destroy the Laser Ore Processor Alpha

You’ll need to destroy the large Laser Lens in the final part of the mission. During the mission, the laser Lens will regularly open, allowing you to shoot and deal damage to it. You can also blow up the gas pipelines that power the Laser Lens to deal damage to it.

A screenshot of the Laser Ore Processor in the RDA Refinery in Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora.

You’ll have to deal with several guards at this part of the mission, including a powerful Combat Exo, RDA Elite Soldier, and AMP Elite Soldier. Kill these soldiers first before you move on to the three emergency pipelines.

With the guards dealt with, access the three emergency pipelines in the left-side gallery and open them. With all three emergency pipelines opened, shoot the front tower’s exposed shutoff valves, head to the Laser Lens, and continue dealing damage by shooting at it whenever it opens.

After you deal enough damage to the Laser Lens, you’ll need to access another set of emergency pipelines in the right side gallery. Like the left-side gallery emergency pipelines, deal with the RDA soldiers first so you don’t get interrupted while accessing the pipelines.

A screenshot of one of the emergency pipelines inside the Laser Lens room.

With the RDA soldiers cleared, access the emergency pipelines in the right side gallery, then shoot the back right tower’s exposed shutoff valve to blow it up.

With that completed, shoot the Laser Lens a few more times to destroy it and complete The Laser Ore Processor Alpha in Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora.

Final Thoughts

There are multiple objectives to complete in the Laser Ore Processor Alpha mission, most of which will put you in a cycle of hacking terminals, dealing with RDA soldiers, and destroying key systems within the Refinery.

Follow the guide above to learn how to enter the RDA facility, find and hack the terminals within the facility, and destroy the Laser Lens to complete the Laser Ore Processor Alpha mission in Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora.

The Best Cosmetic Mods for Lethal Company https://playerassist.com/best-cosmetic-mods-lethal-company/ Fri, 15 Dec 2023 20:46:41 +0000 https://playerassist.com/?p=434085

Lethal Company has some great mods, but what are the best ones that are specifically cosmetic only?

The Best Cosmetic Mods for Lethal Company

Among Us may not have the same grip on the culture as once, but survivor co-op games are still popular among several gamers. One indie game that’s caught players’ attention is Lethal Company from Zeekerss, which isn’t exactly Among Us but is pretty much in the same genre.

In Lethal Company, players in teams of four are thrust into a random planet where they are forced to forage for scrap for ‘The Company.’ Of course, not everything is as easy as it seems. While you and your team are out looking for anything to salvage, the maps are filled with monsters and aliens—all of which have different ways of eliminating you and your teammates.

Besides the aliens that just straightforward come out and chase you, there are also some based on popular sci-fi monsters like giant spiders that can leave web traps that will get you stuck or aliens that move at lightning speed but stop when they’re being observed—like the weeping angels from Doctor Who.

Lethal Company is not the most graphically impressive game, but many players have been commending it for its fun gameplay loop. What’s more, the game is also open for heavy modification, and that’s where a lot of the fun from players comes from.

Though some mods allow for gameplay changes (like adding extra commands or game modes), other modifications simply enhance how the game looks for players. After all, Lethal Company doesn’t have the same kind of polish as a AAA game. Then again, some can argue that the retro pixels add to the overall vibe of Lethal Company.

Best Cosmetic Mods for Lethal Company

Though Lethal Company is considered a pretty bare game by itself, it allows for community collaboration with all the mods that can be installed for it. We should expect some more mods to come out the longer the game has been released, but as of now, here are some highly rated cosmetic mods that players have been enjoying for the game.

Gameplay still from Lethal Company

HDLethalCompany (by Sligili) – Like many other retro games, Lethal Company likes to stay with its pixelated aesthetic, making it look like a game that came out during the PlayStation One generation. If that isn’t to your liking, though, the HDLethalCompany mod will enhance the game’s graphics from resolution to the quality of textures, like fog. This mod also adds anti-aliasing to Lethal Company.

FOVAdjust (by Rozebud) – By design, Lethal Company likes to ensure that players have limited vision when they play the game, which will add to the horror element. With this mod, players can adjust their field of vision and make it easier (or harder) for them, depending on what vibe they’re going for in the game.

Minimap (by Tyzeron) – In the base game, one player is expected to stay behind in the main base and watch some monitors that will update the others on what their position is and where the monster is. If nobody wants to play the HQ monitor, though, the minimap mod simply gives players a better idea of where they are on the map—eliminating the need for anyone to stay behind.

Though only a map is added, it does somehow change the gameplay dramatically. After all, darkness is a mystery, giving the game its edge. If it’s too much for you, you can easily install this map and have an easier time trying to escape from monsters or stumbling back to headquarters.

More Suits (by x753) – Though the game has a default orange jumpsuit for the players, this mod allows players to have various outfits to choose from. What’s great about this mod is that not only will it provide different colored space suits for players, but it will also allow you to keep a catalog of other modded suits in the game. As long as this is installed, you can try out these other outfits based on other players from other titles.

Image of Isaac Clarke from the Dead Space series.

DeadSpaceIsaacSuits (by BrotherPig) – Another game sci-fi horror icon is Isaac Clarke from Deadspace. This mod lets players don the bronze engineer suit with a blue neon glow.

CombineEliteSuit (by TeamClark) – Adds the Combine Elite Suit from Half-Life.

SpiderManSuitV2 (by Stoners) – Adds Spider-Man to the game.

Fallout 4 Console Commands

Vault Boy Suit (by TeamClark) – Adds the blue and yellow Vault Boy suit from Bethesda’s Fallout series.

BigBossSuit (by TeamClark) – From Metal Gear Solid, this mod adds Big Boss into Lethal Company.

ODST Suit (by TeamClark) – From the popular Halo series, this adds the ODST space suit to the game.

Death Korps of Krieg Suit (by TeamClark) – Adds the Krieger Suit from the Warhammer 40k series.

We should expect more cosmetic mods to emerge as the game becomes popular. TeamClark on Thunderstore has many options for players when it comes to cosmetics for Lethal Company. Not only do they have cosmetics from other games like Dead Space or Fallout, but they also have some suits that are just fun recolors of the default suit, like a shirtless mod that gives players a poorly drawn set of abs and a mod that makes you look like a Power Ranger.

For now, Lethal Company is getting the most attention online from player reactions, so it should only be a matter of time before more modders discover the game and discover all kinds of new cosmetics to add. The game may be considered pretty bare, but with all the modifications players can add, there’s no telling what to expect in the future of Lethal Company.

How to Use the Strange Battery in Risk of Rain Returns

Risk of Rain Returns is a great roguelike game similar to other titles such as Hades and Wizard of Legend. The game, a remake of the original Risk of Rain, received positive reviews from gamers and critics alike. Its main concept involves a perma-death feature where players must restart their entire campaign run should they die or fail.

One of the hidden secrets of Risk of Rain Returns involves the Strange Battery. At first, it will seem like the Strange Battery has no other purpose. But this item is one of the most excellent easter eggs in the game. Discover what the Strange Battery does and how to use it in this Risk of Rain Returns guide!

How to Use the Strange Battery in Risk of Rain Returns

Before starting a campaign run, you can choose which difficulty you would like your game to be in. Risk of Rain Returns has three game difficulty options: Dizzle, Rainstorm, and Monsoon. However, regardless of the difficulty, your playthrough will slowly increase in difficulty the longer you take to finish the run. The difficulty option you choose will affect how quickly the playthrough’s difficulty will increase.

To locate the Strange Battery, you must first play on Drizzle difficulty. As this is the easiest game difficulty in Risk of Rain Returns, this will allow you to gain enough time to search and obtain the Strange Battery while making it through to the end of the stage. Take note that you need to make it to Stage 5 to get the Strange Battery.

Obtaining the Strange Battery

Go to the edge of the stage near the walls of the Temple of the Elders. It doesn’t matter which side you choose—either the left or the right—as both outer walls contain clay pots. Once you find a clay pot, open it to obtain the Strange Battery. From there, you can proceed to the final stage. Remember to bring at least one keycard with you upon reaching this stage.

Once you reach the final stage, “Contact Light,” make your way to the top of the ship until you find an opening to the outer walls. Then, travel to the far right side of the stage until you get to the edge. From the edge, jump off and slowly descend, aiming to your right until you find a hidden platform.

Below the ledge, there will be a secret cave-like tunnel. Enter the passageway to find three golems listening to music with their boombox. You will find that there is a small opening behind the third golem. Enter the opening to your left and proceed to the next area.

In the room next to the golems, there will be a couple of platforms for you to land on. Use your platforming skills to navigate the area until you find a Rift Chest that requires putting an item inside it. This is where you will use your Strange Battery and store it inside the chest. After storing the Strange Battery inside, complete the stage and defeat the final boss, Providence.

The Secret of the Strange Battery

After restarting the game after defeating the final boss, you must set the difficulty settings to either Rainstorm or Monsoon. Then proceed to stage 2 and locate the chest where you last stored the Strange Battery. Open the chest and collect the Strange Battery before proceeding to the third stage.

On stage 3, you must head to the teleporter and wait until the in-game time is between 22:00 and 22:59 before clicking the teleporter to take you to the fourth stage.

A screenshot of the teleporter on the third stage in Risk of Rain Returns.

If you follow the steps correctly, you will spawn on stage 4 with a hidden object buried in the ground. Interact with it to activate a robot character to start shooting a gun at you. Make sure that the robot must stay alive long enough to kill you. Doing this will unlock an achievement with the secret playable character, Robomando. Robomando is arguably one of the strongest survivors in the game due to his utility and skills—making obtaining him worth your while.

Should You Save Takemura in Cyberpunk 2077? – Answered https://playerassist.com/should-you-save-takemura-in-cyberpunk-2077-answered/ Mon, 16 Oct 2023 22:06:19 +0000 https://playerassist.com/?p=429229

As one of the most interesting characters in Cyberpunk 2077, Goro Takemura plays a significant role in the storyline. However, is saving Takemura the best option? Or will leaving him to die be better?

Should You Save Takemura in Cyberpunk 2077? - Answered

Throughout your playthrough, you learn about Goro Takemura, his past, and what defines him as a character. Therefore, it’s almost inevitable for you, as a player, not to develop a kinship with the disgraced Arasaka bodyguard. And although, lore-wise, there are multiple reasons why you shouldn’t necessarily stick your neck out for the guy, saving him is still the better option. Read on to find out why.

Should You Save Takemura in Cyberpunk 2077?

Source: Big Dan Gaming / Youtube

During the second half of the mission “Search and Destroy,” a chaotic scene breaks out. While on a secret rendevous with Hanako Arasaka and Goro Takemura, a couple of Arasaka soldiers break into the abandoned apartment building. As they bomb the place to the ground, the floor beneath you collapses, and you lose consciousness. Once you come around, you see Johnny Silverhand encouraging you to save yourself and leave Takemura for dead.

Through this point, most players simply follow the main quest line and get out without saving Takemura. However, players don’t realize that there is a hidden objective to save him.

If players choose to leave Takemura to die, he will no longer appear in any of the succeeding missions. But by choosing to save him, he will survive this ordeal and appear in missions after that, particularly in the final mission. So, if you completely experience all the endings of Cyberpunk 2077, you must save Takemura.

How to Save Takemura in Cyberpunk 2077?

Right after you meet with Hanako, Arasaka gets interrupted by soldiers marching into the room; you fall through to the ground floor of the apartment building and faint. As you regain control of your character, you will see Johnny Silverhand telling you to get out, and you will be given only one objective: Escape the apartment.

Johnny Silverhand will tell you to stay low at the end of the hall. The questmarkers from here will indicate that the way out is through to the right side. From this point on, following the waypoint on your map will automatically lead you toward exiting the apartment. If you choose to save Takemura, you must go to the left. You will find a small gap on the wall to your left. Crouch and pass through it.

On the ground floor area

Source: Big Dan Gaming / Youtube

Once you pass through the gap, you will immediately see that armored Arasaka soldiers are patrolling the area. You are then faced with two options: sneak past them or run guns blazing.

If you plan to sneak past them, use the quick hack “Distract Enemies” to hack all the electronics in the area. This will be enough to distract them so they move out of your path entirely or take them down from behind. As an alternative, you can simply fight your way through.

Whichever method you choose, you must continue until you find the stairs leading to the third floor. Going up the stairwell, you will be met with an enemy. You can wait for them to pass or fight them to get to the next floor.

On the third floor area

Upon reaching the third floor, this location will have more enemies. Takemura will be in room 303. Past this point, combat is almost unavoidable, so be prepared. Three soldiers will be at the end of the hallway, and more will come down the stairs from the fourth floor.

As you enter the room, you will find Takemura on the right side of the room, surrounded by enemies. You need to take them all down to rescue Takemura. Once freed, he will suggest exiting the building through the empty rooms on the right. Go out of the room and follow the quest markers. There will be a couple of armored Arasaka soldiers along the way, and you must fight to pass through.

Continue right down the hallway until you reach room 307. Once inside, go to the back of the apartment until you find a large hole in the floor. When you jump down, you will find yourself in a room with a single flight of stairs. One Arasaka soldier will be waiting for you at the bottom of the stairwell. Take them down and exit through the open door.

When you get outside, a short cutscene with Takemura will play through. He will tell you to go separate ways for a higher chance of survival. From here on out, you won’t see or hear from Takemura again until you reach the final mission, where he will play a major role in helping you take down Adam Smasher to get to Yorinobu Arasaka.

Best Proof of Humanity Build for Lies of P https://playerassist.com/best-proof-humanity-build-lies-p/ Thu, 05 Oct 2023 16:56:07 +0000 https://playerassist.com/?p=428684

Learn how to make the best Proof of Humanity Build in Lies of P!

Best Proof of Humanity Build for Lies of P

Lies of P, a soulslike game that Neowiz Games and Round 8 Studio, features a dark and cruel retelling of the classic tale of Pinocchio. The game is set in a dark Belle Époque world where the player takes on the role of a mechanoid puppet named Pinocchio, or just P, in the city of Krat.

As P, the player must hack and slash his way into finding Gepetto and becoming human. P can use a lot of different weapons in Lies of P. A sword called Proof of Humanity is one of the most sought-after weapons in the game.

In this guide, we will discuss what we think is the best build for Proof of Humanity in the game. So, get ready to hack and slash a bunch of enemies using this new built-in Lies of P! Consider this your spoiler alert for some story details!

Best Proof of Humanity Build

The best, or at least recommended, build if you want to use the Proof of Humanity is a Quality build. The stats are split between strength, Motivity, dexterity, and Technique. While the player levels up, these stats are also equally, or relatively equally, improved.

This weapon is special because when the player executes heavy, heavily charged, and running attacks, the weapon will change to dual-wield. It also has a higher chance of dealing more damage because of one of its Fable Arts.

The following are the recommended stats with the Proof of Humanity in Lies of P:

VitalityAt least 40
VigorAt least 20
CapacityAt least 35
Motivity40
Technique40
Advance6

As the Proof of Humanity is a weapon the player can get in the late game, the player can use it in a New Game + run. In most instances, playing in New Game + enables players to restart the main story of the game while retaining certain elements from their previous run.

In New Game +, the player will carry over the Player Level, Unlocked Skills, Discovered Items, Resources, Equipment, and more. Because you will probably use this build in a New Game + run, it can be easy to get to these stats.

Also, the Proof of Humanity is heavier than other weapons in the game. So, if you plan on equipping other heavy items, raising P’s Capacity stat is recommended.

Legion Arms

The recommended Legion Arms to pair with the Proof of Humanity is the Aegis. This Legion Arm allows the player to block attacks from the enemy while also dealing damage as it explodes.

The Aegis Legion Arm has a Motivity rating of B, a Technique rating of B, and an Advance rating of D. This Legion Arm also has a Weight of 12.4.

Aside from the Aegis, the player can also use the Fulminis Legion Arm. This Legion Arm accumulates strong electricity, amassing an Electric Blitz and releasing an electric shock.

Proof of Humanity

According to in-game lore, the Proof of Humanity is a massive scissor blade that the Nameless Puppet wields. It is a two-edged blade that can either end a person’s freedom or provide it through severing the strings of control.

The Proof of Humanity is one of the special weapons the player can find in the game. This weapon is a sword with a durability of 84 and a weight of 20.5. This sword has a Slash Attack Type with a “=” icon. This means this weapon deals much Slash damage and is its primary Attack type. It also has a Stab Attack Type with a “-” icon. This means that this sword has 0 attack that inflicts Stab damage.

For its Attack Abilities, it is graded B for Motivity, B for technique, and none for Advance. The Proof of Humanity has 101 Physical ATK, 11.30 for Charge Pulse Cells, and 520 for Fable Charge.

The Proof of Humanity also has a Block Ability. When blocking using this weapon, it has a 64.15 chance of reducing the damage.

The Proof of Humanity has two Fable Arts: Link Slash and Grind. Link Slash is an Attack-type Fable Art allowing the player to slash the enemy right before P. This utilizes an extra Fable slot to slash three more times. The Link Slash Fable Art costs one Fable charge. Grind, on the other hand, is a Utility type of Fable Art that temporarily boosts the Critical Hit Chance of the player. The Grind Fable Art also costs one Fable charge. The weapon’s main feature is that its attacks resemble cross slashes and whirling cyclones. As a result, the player will spin around when striking enemies with the Critical Hit Chance boosted from the Grind Fable Art.

How to Get the Proof of Humanity

The player can only get the Proof of Humanity later in the game. The player must defeat the Nameless Puppet to get the Proof of Humanity. In doing so, the player can get the Nameless Puppet’s Ergo. The player must trade this item with Explorer Hugo at Hotel Krat to get the Proof of Humanity!

Nameless Puppet

In Lies of P, the Nameless Puppet is one of the bosses the player will encounter. Geppetto is the one who created the Nameless Puppet, and it is the final one P will encounter. To penalize P for his mischief, Gepetto utilizes the Nameless Puppet. After defeating the Nameless Puppet, the player will unlock “The First Puppet” achievement.

The player may get different endings depending on the player’s decisions. To encounter the Nameless Puppet, the player must pursue the “Free from the Puppet String” and the “Rise of P” endings. Because of that, even though the Nameless Puppet is Lies of P’s final boss, it is also optional.

The player will face the Nameless Puppet under the Abyss if Gepetto wants to punish P for his mischievous actions. When prompted, the player can avoid facing the Nameless Puppet by granting Geppetto the heart.

How to Face the Nameless Puppet

As mentioned above, the player must pursue the “Rise of P” and the “Free from the Puppet String” endings to face the Nameless Puppet. The player can do the following to get to these endings:

Rise of P

The “Rise of P” ending is the ending that most players experience in their initial playthrough. After overcoming Simon Manus, the player will encounter Geppetto. He will offer to turn P into a real boy in exchange for P’s heart. The player has to decline to give Geppetto the heart to get this ending. Geppetto will pull the Nameless Puppet from his box and activate him. The player will then face the Nameless Puppet.

Free From The Puppet String

The player must make certain decisions during the game to experience this ending. To accomplish this, the player must always choose to tell the truth when the options appear.

The player will meet Sophia after beating Laxasia the Complete in Arche Abbey. The player has two options: give her peace or let her live. Let her live to receive; the player will get the ‘Free from the Puppet String’ ending.

Tell Simon Malus that you freed Sophia later when the player faces him. When you meet Geppetto after his death, and he requests for your heart, decline again, similar to the other ending. This denial results in the Nameless Puppet fight with a result like the “Rise of P” ending.

Moves

The following are the moves that the Nameless Puppet will perform:

  • Swing – The Nameless Puppet will swing its sword regularly.
  • Double Swing – This boss will swing at the player twice.
  • Uppercut Swing – The Nameless Puppet will use its sword to slice from the bottom upwards.
  • Jump Attack – The Nameless Puppet will jump slightly before swinging down with its sword.
  • Sword Thrust – This boss will thrust its sword forward like a stab.

In the second phase of the battle, the Nameless Puppet will additionally execute the following attacks:

  • Propel Double Sword Attack – The Nameless Puppet will spin around with its sword forward while charging at the player.
  • Overhead Fury Attack – This fury attack involves the Nameless Puppet executing a swing over its head that can project forward.
  • Thrust Beam – The Nameless Puppet will thrust its sword forward like a stab that now projects forward and becomes a directional ranged attack.
  • Jump Area of Effect – The Nameless Puppet will jump up and land with a large blast.
  • Double Sword Sweep – This boss’ swords will sweep from within and outwards.
  • Double Sword Jump Slash – The Nameless Puppet will use its swords to attack upwards. This will throw the Nameless Puppet up in the air and then strike from overhead.
  • Charge Dash Attack – This boss will execute a quick dash and a charging crouch. If hit, the attack can knock the player over.
  • Extended Sword Swing – This attack is similar to its regular swing attack, but its range is greater.

Behavior and Strategy

The Nameless Puppet is armed with a long blade. It will start the combat with its weapon drawn back, ready to swing. The Nameless Puppet will continue to sprint toward the player until it is close enough to strike at the player. It will repeatedly perform its melee attacks.

The Nameless Puppet will execute various swinging and slashing attacks as the fight progresses. The player will be able to parry or block these attacks. Wait until the entire attack has played out before letting down your guard and preparing to attack.

This boss will keep approaching similarly. If the player stays too far away, the Nameless Puppet can run towards the player and attack quickly. Attack the Nameless Puppet quickly while also blocking. Do not let it any opportunities because the Nameless Puppet may also be able to regain some health.

If it begins to heal, execute a charged attack as soon as possible. Ideally, it will allow the player to follow up with a Fatal Attack. Then, the second phase will begin after the player has depleted a health bar.

The Nameless Puppet’s assaults will be cranked up in the second phase, and this boss can move considerably faster. This boss will now carry a pair of swords capable of various fast assaults. Based on the strike, the Nameless Puppet can combine and utilize them to stab into a single sword.

The Nameless Puppet will rush at the player using the double blade, and his Fury Attacks can now longer range. Due to the speed of this boss’ attacks, the player might have to concentrate on smaller rapid attack combinations rather than inflicting damage using a charged strike.

The player should move out of this boss’ path if you see it crouching like it is preparing to dash. The player will be knocked down following this strike. Try to go around behind him as much as possible. If the player maintains this, the player is safer from being hit by Nameless Puppet’s direction attacks.

This boss’ melee attacks now also have boosted power and range. This allows the Nameless Puppet’s attacks to project beyond its immediate area. Make sure to make space when it jumps because this boss will execute an Area of Effect attack.

The Nameless Puppet will also utilize his double swords to make windmill-spinning attacks. Prepare to move accordingly to the constant barrage of attacks. This boss will also distance itself from the player, so the player must keep attacking as you go forward. The player can back this boss towards a corner to keep him from moving a lot.

Conclusion

The Proof of Humanity is arguably one of the best weapons in Lies of P.  Even if you don’t think it matches your play style, the Proof of Humanity weapon with the above build is still a must-try. Also, it is important to emphasize that you can use this build for Proof of Humanity as a baseline.

You can still experiment with different stats, Legion Arms, and items. In other words, experiment until you arrive at a build that suits how you want to play the game. With that, you can complete a couple of runs in no time.

This will ensure your triumph in this challenging narrative-driven experience. So, ready up, and let’s defeat the Survivor!

How to Defeat the Survivor

The most straightforward way to defeat the Survivor is to backstab him. The player must try to move quickly and get behind the Survivor. Behind him, a prompt will appear for a Fatal Attack. Perform this fatal attack to deal huge damage to the Survivor.

Although that is the method to defeat the Survivor easily, that just scratches the surface of this battle. Here is more information regarding the Survivor and how to defeat him.

The Survivor

The Survivor is one of the optional mini-bosses that the player finds in the game. According to in-game lore, he was a new Stalker in Krat. The Survivor, similar to the other Stalkers, donned an animal mask in an image of a mouse. The young Survivor escaped in terror once the puppets had knocked down the tower. At that moment, he lost his adopted brother Leo and his identity. The Survivor had to concentrate on surviving while roaming through hell. He now feels compelled to kill puppets to make amends for his sins.

How to Find the Survivor

The most difficult part about Survivor is locating him. This is because he is an optional boss encounter that rewards the player with useful loot. The player can find the Survivor deep within the Workshop Union Culvert near the Venigni Works Control Room. To encounter the Survivor, this is what the player must do:

  1. First, use the Stargazer and select “Teleport to another Stargazer” on the prompt. Navigate to the “III” tab, select “Workshop Union Culvert,” and select “OK” on the prompt to confirm.
  2. After teleporting to the location, proceed to the path on the right with the orange light. Head up the small flight of stairs and continue on the path. At the end of the path, head to the right. On this path, a large, flaming sphere will continue to roll toward the player at intervals. Before the flaming sphere hits the player, stand on the openings on the left or right of the path. Continue on this path while evading the large, flaming sphere.
  3. Near the end of this path, there is a doorway on the right with another orange light. Go through this path, then another doorway; at the end, go to the right.
  4. Next, head up the flight of stairs and into another doorway. Upon entering, there is a path on the northeast and a large doorway on the right. Take the large doorway on the right.
  5. Afterward, head to the right, turn left beneath the puppets, and pass the stairs. Make sure to be quick when going through the puppets. Otherwise, the puppets will drop down and attack the player. Here, the player will find a hole in the middle and a ladder that leads downwards.
  6. Then, climb down the ladder. The player will then arrive in a room with a person looking like he is in despair.
  7. Finally, talk to the person who is the Survivor. He will say that every single puppet must die, and he will realize that the player is also a puppet. After that, a battle against the Survivor will commence!

Defeating the Survivor: Attacks and Behavior

In Lies of P, the Survivor is a straightforward boss that only lasts for one phase. He continuously attacks the player, which can quickly tire the player out. The most common type of attack that the Survivor will perform is a basic slash. The Survivor will perform many slashes in a row with a slight delay between each swing. Fortunately, the Survivor’s attacks are very predictable. This makes it very simple to parry them within just a few attempts.

Another attack that the Survivor will execute is the double-swinging slash. To do this, the Survivor will wind up and perform two upward strikes in a row. If this attack lands, it can inflict great damage on the player. Fortunately, however, the double swing slash is also incredibly simple to evade. The Survivor will take a break for several seconds after performing the attack. This allows the player a lot of time to sneak up behind the Survivor and attack from behind.

Additionally, the Survivor may perform sweeping slashes. This attack can span a large area while inflicting small damage on the player.

Defeating the Survivor: Tips

The Survivor is extremely swift and vulnerable to Acid. However, you may not have it yet if you are still early in the game. He does, however, have another weakness: backstrikes. Because the Survivor is human, the player can deal damage through backstabs. This is the recommended method for defeating the Survivor mentioned above. It is recommended to equip a quick weapon, like Wintery Rapier. With this, the player can inflict damage quickly and effectively.

As mentioned, the Survivor can attack very quickly. However, do not get intimidated; again, he will cease striking after performing a double-swinging slash. This can be a great opportunity to inflict damage to the Survivor. Also, make sure to watch where you swing. The player’s sword may get stopped on a wall and other objects in the room. When that happens, the player may get stuck, which leaves the player vulnerable to attack.

During his attacks, the Survivor spins a lot. This makes his back visible to the player. However, the player will only have a split second to react. With that in mind, the player can attack him from behind by tapping the right bumper. Avoid attempting to parry the enemy’s assaults. Instead, concentrate on evading. Do this to get behind the Survivor and execute fatal attacks.

If you want to parry, doing so is still a benefit. The Survivor’s weapon is quite easy to break because of the rate at which he attacks. The player can parry several of the Survivor’s attacks in a row to break his weapon. When that happens, it will significantly reduce his attacks.

The player can hit the Survivor with a few quick regular attacks. This can still be an effective way to defeat the Survivor. However, performing only five to six backstrikes will surely be enough to kill him. If you still worry about dying, the player can equip armor that can withstand penetrating attacks. The player can purchase them from Pulcinella in the Hotel Krat.

Rewards

After defeating the Survivor, the player can get a few useful rewards. Two rewards are the Survivor’s headgear and outfit: the Survivor’s Mask and the Survivor’s Hunting Apparel. The Survivor’s Mask is an accessory, and the Survivor’s Hunting Apparel is an outfit, and they are both purely cosmetic. This means that these items will not give the player any changes in stats or any effects and bonuses.

According to in-game lore, the Survivor’s Mask is a mouse mask that stinks like sewage and terror. Beginner Stalkers frequently wear animal masks that their superiors choose for them. On the other hand, the Survivor’s Hunting Apparel once belonged to the person who broke his promises. This item is categorized as an outfit in the Costumes tab. Outfits are apparel collections that incorporate elements such as original artwork, retellings of the classic fairytale, and more.

To equip an accessory and outfit, navigate to the Items Menu and the Costumes tab. Here, the player will see each of the available choices. The player can then choose which item you wish Pinocchio to wear.

Another reward for defeating the Survivor is the Stalker’s Promise. This is a Gesture that the player can use to perform poses or actions, similar to emotes. Additionally, the player can use some Gestures to reveal some Secrets in the game. When using the Stalker’s Promise gesture, the player will salute, including holding up their weapon in front. The player can use the Stalker’s Promise gesture to The Atoned in Moonlight Town to obtain the Cable Railway Key.

According to in-game lore, Bastards and Sweepers use the Stalker’s Promise. A person uses this gesture to uphold a pledge made to people they intend to safeguard. Nothing can change this pledge, no matter what flag the person operates under.

Gestures are generally configured in the Quick Select Gesture Menu but can likewise be activated by choosing a specific gesture in the main Gesture Menu.
