Since Don’t Starve Together launched, it has grown rapidly and exponentially in popularity, and these days, it is critically acclaimed, with one of the highest ratings among multiple reviewers. To keep the game interesting and fresh, Klei Entertainment has been working around the clock to add new features and make the game more optimized and fun. Because of that, there are Twitch drops for Don’t Starve Together. Today, we will focus on how to get Twitch drops!

Don’t Starve Together: How to Get Twitch Drops

How to Get Twitch Drops – Don’t Starve Together.

For those unaware, Twitch drops are essentially gifts or rewards obtained by watching and supporting content creators on Twitch. Klei must approve the content creators as content creators for Don’t Starve Together.

This is great for the streamers and the players who show their support. The process to get Twitch drops in Don’t Starve Together goes as follows:

  1. Log in to the official Klei webpage.
  2. Once logged in, link your Twitch account to your Klei account.
  3. Watch streamers who play Don’t Starve Together.

As for the rewards, they can be acquired after watching for a certain amount of time. More specifically, this is the amount of time for the number of drops:

  • 30min – first drop;
  • 2hr – second drop;
  • 6hr – third drop.

There is no need to watch only one streamer or that amount of time in one go. Players can switch to other streamers and exit from watching at any time. Once players start watching again, the time will pick up from where it left off.

How to know when you have a drop? Tap on the notification icon in the top-right corner of the screen (depending on which platform you are on); Here, all of your Twitch drops will be shown, if any.

Then, all you need to do is launch the game, and you will be greeted with a reward screen. You can open the box to receive your rewards.

How To See All Your Viewers on Twitch https://playerassist.com/see-all-viewers-twitch/ https://playerassist.com/see-all-viewers-twitch/#comments Thu, 06 May 2021 09:55:10 +0000 https://www.techjunkie.com/?p=119044

Twitch still leads the pack, while other streaming platforms like YouTube Gaming and Mixer exist. Streamers can interact with their viewers through the chat feature. They can earn followers and subscribers like many other social media and streaming sites; only this world is mostly about gaming.

How To See All Your Viewers on Twitch

You can make a lot of money using Twitch, but you must also be good at the game you are playing and interesting enough to engage your viewers in the chat section. Over time, as you build up your audience, you’ll become more and more successful on the platform.

But how do you know how many viewers you have? How can you see all your viewers on Twitch?

The following article will explain how you can check your Twitch stats to determine how many viewers you had during a live session. The tool is a good gauge of what works and what doesn’t and can help you perfect your future streams.

The Viewer List

The “Viewer List” shows you a list of people connected to your chat. You can only see registered Twitch users, including those that are inactive at the moment. The tool will remember all users who visited your channel at least once. You can check the report by clicking the button next to Settings at the bottom of the chat.

How To See All Viewers on Twitch

This report does not indicate your total viewer count, though, as it does not account for viewers logged out of their Twitch account.

How to Check Who Is Watching You on Twitch

To check who is watching you on Twitch, look at the icon at the top right of the chat section that looks like two stick figures. This section will show you every person in the chat. You’ll see their usernames, as well as their category, like “Broadcaster,” “Staff,” and “Moderators.”

To see the total number of viewers in the stream on Twitch, just look at the red number directly underneath. As you can see, 28,272 people are watching in the screenshot below:

How to Check Your Analytics

Checking your Analytics is simple yet important to your growth on the platform. Analytics show the demographics of the people who enjoy or follow your content.

Every creator can check their analytics by visiting their dashboard and logging in. Then, do this:

  1. Click Insights.

  2. Click Channel Analytics on the left side.

Use Twitch Stats to Up Your Game

The Channel Analytics tool on Twitch can help you understand what your viewers like. You will get a full list of stats, including the average time a viewer spends, your maximum viewer count, the time you spend streaming, and much more.

Read: How To Get More Viewers on Twitch

Here is the full list of available stats:

  • Average Viewers: The average number of viewers who watched your entire stream
  • Live Views: The total number of viewers you had while streaming
  • New Followers: The number of viewers who visited your stream for the first time
  • Max Viewers: The maximum number of viewers for a single stream
  • Unique Viewers: The average number of viewers based on the device they used (laptops, phones, pc)
  • Minutes Watched: The total time viewers spent watching your stream
  • Average Stream Length: The average duration of your stream
  • Time Streamed: The total time you spent streaming for a specific period
  • Average Chat Messages: The average number of messages you receive during a stream

These categories can help you determine which stream had the biggest viewer count. You can then focus on streaming the games with the best results and stop or “fix” the unpopular ones.

Other Metrics

There are several additional metrics that Twitch users can utilize to improve their streams and better understand their viewers. Here are a few of those essential metrics.

Viewer Origin

It’s good to know their access location even after discovering how many viewers you had for a particular stream. That will tell you which part of your channel needs additional work. For example, if many viewers came from the browser page, your streams’ titles work well. Otherwise, you may want to rethink those titles to draw more views.

Viewers from Channels

This category tells you the number of viewers that watched your stream coming from another page. Generally, the number of viewers came to your channel through the sidebar of another one.

Viewers Outside Twitch

You can see how many viewers came from outside Twitch, including those who used your URL and those from other platforms like Medium.

Summary of Every Stream

You can check your stream summary for each “formerly” live session. It will show you how many views you got when visits peaked, the duration of your live video, and other useful information.

The Most Important Stats to Consider within Other Metrics

How can you know which stream is the most relevant to your success with so many details available?

For some, the Average Viewers category is the most relevant one. Other users might find the Total Views or Max Viewers the most helpful stats. These reports can give you valuable insight into your viewers’ likes, dislikes, and behaviors.

Use What You Learn to Attract More Viewers

To be successful on Twitch, you’ll need to track your stats for some time before you get everything right. Change the parts that didn’t yield the desired results and keep the ones that helped you raise your viewer count.

It’s a slow process that requires planning and timely execution, but you can truly become an achieved Twitch streamer if you find the right formula. Don’t give up, and the results will follow. You can also see how many Twitch subscribers you have, which helps boost your success as well!

Try this one if you want a microphone that works wonders for your Twitch stream. Not only is the quality excellent for the price but the included pop filter also helps your viewers hear less background noise.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I see everyone who is viewing my stream?

No, unfortunately, Twitch doesn’t support such an option. You can see who is viewing based on the chatbox, but it only shows those connected through chat, not those who haven’t logged in.

What are Twitch Live Views?

This indicates how many users viewed your content while it was being streamed.

How can I see who’s following me on Twitch?

To see your followers navigate to the Creator’s Dashboard and click on ‘Channel.’ Scroll down and click on ‘Followers’ to see the list. Twitch has released many updates recently so that you may see a ‘Followers’ tab under the main menu in the Creator’s Dashboard.

How to Get More Viewers on Twitch https://playerassist.com/get-more-viewers-twitch/ https://playerassist.com/get-more-viewers-twitch/#respond Mon, 08 Mar 2021 17:37:00 +0000 https://www.techjunkie.com/?p=203105

Twitch has forever changed how people play video games. It turned a previously exclusively solitary activity into something you can do in front of a global audience.

How to Get More Viewers on Twitch

Most Twitch streamers today aim to get as many viewers as possible and grow their Twitch channel.

But even though overnight success is possible on all online platforms, in most cases, you will need to put in a lot of effort to make it big on Twitch. This article will explore what it takes to get more viewers on your Twitch streams.

Viewer Count vs. Viewer List – the Disambiguation

If you are only starting with your Twitch channel, it is essential to understand the difference between viewer count and viewer list. Whenever someone watches your live stream, they are counted as a viewer. When they stop watching, that number goes down.

You will see that number in red below the video player. However, the viewer list represents the number of people connected to your chat, regardless of whether they are active. You can see that number by clicking the list button beside the settings cog.

People who do not have a Twitch account but watch your stream are a part of the viewer count. And that is the audience most Twitch streamers are interested in growing.

How to Get More Viewers on a Twitch Stream

If you are passionate about gaming and love showing your skills in front of a live audience, Twitch is the right place. But there are nearly 10 million active streamers on Twitch globally, so the competition is fierce, to say the very least.

However, if you follow specific rules, you might have a growing Twitch audience sooner rather than later. Here are some tactics you can apply that can help you get more viewers on your Twitch stream.

More Viewers on Twitch

Check Out Other Streamers

Most successful gamer streams have an established and proven format that they use. The only difference is the content and creativity that is incorporated into it.

If you do not know how to proceed, learn from successful streamers whose content and presentation you like.

There is nothing wrong with building on an existing idea and making it your own. That is what most successful Twitch streamers do.

Talk During Your Stream

It might feel odd to talk if you do not have many viewers, but you should not be completely silent, even if one person is there. Most users tune in for some entertainment and will likely come back for more if you are there talking to them.

Create a Streaming Schedule

One of the ways Twitch streamers maintain and grow their viewership is by sticking to a streaming schedule. How will anyone ever keep up if you make your streams completely random?

Read: How To See All Your Viewers on Twitch

And do not make the streaming times too far apart, either. More frequent streams are likely to lead to a higher viewer count.

How to Get Viewers on Twitch

Use Social Media

Talking about it on social media is a powerful tool for getting more viewers for your Twitch streams. You can create separate accounts for your Twitch channel on Instagram, Twitter, and YouTube. Then, use them to promote and announce your next live stream.

Participate in Tournaments

There are now very successful Twitch streamers that started their journey by excelling in tournaments. In Fortnite, many quickly went from a few viewers to a large audience. It is a great way to put yourself in the Twitch community.

Do Not Expect Overnight Success.

As mentioned, you might get lucky, and your gaming career on Twitch might blow up in no time. However, most streamers with many viewers have gradually achieved that goal with constant effort.

It is important to enjoy your game, first and foremost. And then let others see that and make them want to join you for the ride.

How to Get More Viewers on Twitch PS4 and Xbox One

The great thing about Twitch is that you can use it on many devices. While some users prefer the PC, others find the Twitch app on their mobile devices to work well.

However, if you are a PS4 or Xbox One user, you can set up live Twitch streams while playing your favorite game. When getting more viewers on these consoles, the guidelines and the approach are the same as on any device.

How to Get More Followers on Twitch

Followers on Twitch are a separate category, and they represent people who have “subscribed” to your Twitch channel and get notified when you start live streaming. Having a large following on Twitch is essential but nowhere near as important as the number of viewers.

That is because many people sign up for channels, but that does not mean they watch every stream. Most streamers strive for more followers and viewers, and you will likely get both by creating engaging content and streaming regularly.

Additional FAQs

1. How Do You Get 20 Viewers on Twitch?

When you start slow, do not hesitate to ask your friends and family to come and participate in your live stream on Twitch. If you have a following on other social media platforms, ask them to come to join at a specific time. The 20 viewers might seem small to an established Twitch streamer, but it is a great start for a newbie.

2. How to People Get Popular on Twitch

In short, many people get popular on Twitch because they are good and exceptional, even at gaming. But when coupled with a significant online presence and the ability to interact with their viewers, that is powerful. Also, most successful people on Twitch have been streaming for a while, and they are not slowing down.

3. Do People Make Money on Twitch?

The answer is yes. They can. Some streamers can get donations from other users to continue doing their best. They can also be offered brand partnerships and affiliate opportunities. And if they have a dedicated audience, they can even create and sell their merchandise.

Keep Viewers Coming Back for More

When you first open a Twitch account, it is important to take time and get to know how the platform works and see how the community operates. Merely having a goal of growing your viewership is probably not enough.

The first goal should be to have fun, enjoy your work, and provide valuable content to others. With some luck and persistence, you might have many more viewers on every stream on your schedule.

For all content creators and streamers, a lot more behind the curtain can be seen.

Twitch: How to Delete One or More Clips

Streamers on Twitch might be aware that after each stream, there will be a clip by that stream for viewing later. Anyone can access these clips, but in some cases, you might want them deleted or concealed so nobody can access them.

Why you would want it is relatively obvious, but sometimes you might have streams where you are not feeling it, and you might say or do things that are a mistake.

How to Delete One or More Clips – Twitch

Having this feature to have your streams as videos is pretty good. It is nice to know that people can access your previous streams and see what kind of a personality you are, even if you are not streaming.

However, it seems as though having clips might lower your view count while you are streaming. Some speculate that people will not focus on connecting to the live stream if you have clips available.

Read: How To See All Your Viewers on Twitch

Whether that is true or not, the point is that sometimes you might want these videos gone. In these cases, you can delete one or more clips on Twitch easily:

  1. Go to the official Twitch website, and log in.
  2. Click your profile icon in the top-right corner of the page.
  3. Navigate to the Creator Dashboard.
  4. In the menu on the left, click on content and then clips.
  5. All of your clips will be displayed here. To delete multiple just use the checkboxes on the left of each clip, select multiple, and then click the trash icon on the top.
  6. twitch how to delete one or more clips on
  7. It will ask you whether you’re sure about your choice. Just click delete here.

If you do this, you must note that these clips will be gone forever, and you cannot return them. So, before you delete clips from your profile, ensure you are sure about your choice.

Also, if you do not see a menu on your left in the creator dashboard, click the menu icon (three lines) in the page’s top-left corner.

Escape from Tarkov has always been a game that heavily relies on the items you have available to you. However, the developers have always been generous enough with different events and how many items have been available in the game for obtaining. But did you know you can get Twitch drops with unique item gifts?

How to Enable Twitch Drops for Escape from Tarkov

Getting these Twitch drops is relatively easy, and the only requirement you need to fill is watching a lot of Twitch streams, but they must be Escape from Tarkov streams!

How to Get Twitch Drops for Escape from Tarkov

These Twitch drops are a great way of keeping the game more interesting and available for everyone. In other words, it is good to know that you can boost your inventory by doing such a simple thing.

The Twitch drops you get will appear in your Twitch inventory, and you don’t need to do anything to obtain them in-game, as they will be automatically transferred. Before all that, you must link your Twitch account with your Escape from Tarkov one!

If you’re having trouble doing so, follow these steps to link them:

  1. Go to the official Escape from Tarkov website.
  2. Click on the Login button at the top-right of the page.
  3. Complete the verification and login.
  4. After that, click on Profile.
  5. There should be a “Link Twitch Account” button. Press it and login with your Twitch account.
escape from tarkov how to enable twitch drops

Ensure you log in with a Twitch account to watch Escape from Tarkov streams. After that, it’s as easy as going to Twitch and opening one of the streams with the most views.

I say that because not all will have drops enabled, and you should look for ones that have “Drop Enabled” under the stream window and Escape from Tarkov as a category.

It’s unclear how frequently or even what items you will get, but it is safe to say that you will get some unique items pretty easily. Theoretically, you can open an Escape from Tarkov stream and leave it as an open window.

While doing so, you can browse other stuff or play your favorite games while the stream is open, and you will still get rewards. After a while, check your inventory on Twitch or in-game!

Mixer vs Twitch: Which Is The Better Of The Two? https://playerassist.com/mixer-vs-twitch/ Sat, 01 Feb 2020 16:46:34 +0000 https://www.tekrevue.com/?p=12530

Live streaming websites like Twitch have had a major cultural impact recently. Countless gamers have used services like this to stream their gameplay or watch others do the same. These platforms allow streamers to make a living by doing what they love while entertaining their supporters.

Mixer vs Twitch: Which Is The Better Of The Two?

However, while Twitch is still the most popular live-streaming platform, it is no longer the only option for those interested in trying out streaming for themselves. In recent years, Twitch, owned by Amazon, has faced more competition from other major companies like Microsoft and Google.

Mixer, a rebranding of the platform previously known as Beam, is owned by Microsoft and is quickly becoming one of Twitch’s largest competitors. As more popular streamers, like Ninja, move over to Mixer, it begs the question: Which is better, Twitch or Mixer?

Of course, the answer to this question is not a simple yes or no. Instead, you will have to take a look at the pros and cons of each to decide for yourself which is better.

Mixer vs. Twitch: Which is Better?

As I mentioned, the answer to this question is not a simple yes or no. Every streamer and viewer has different wants and needs — meaning Mixer might be better for some while Twitch might be better for others.

Twitch

To determine the best streaming platform, we will look at key factors, such as competition, potential audience, ease of use, and similar factors.

So, without wasting more time, let’s look at Mixer and Twitch’s pros and cons.

What Does Mixer Do Best?

Mixer is still certainly the underdog when it comes to competing against Twitch. Its biggest disadvantage is that it simply does not have as large of an audience as Twitch — meaning it can be difficult for new streamers to build a significant audience.

Mixer has a mobile app known as Mixer Create. This allows users to broadcast mobile video games and live videos from their smartphones or other digital devices. Twitch also has a mobile app that only works for video broadcasting.

Mixer is particularly interactive. It has special sound effect buttons that can be pressed while watching and directly integrates with some of the most popular games in the world, Minecraft being a prime example.

Mixer Home Page

Another one of Mixer’s very popular features is co-streaming. This enables several streamers to broadcast gameplay from their channels at the same time. It displays all those channels as a split-screen and can view whatever users decide to stream, whether art or tutorials. If users want to stream a few of them having a chat, that is fine too.

Mixer’s faster-than-light (FTL) streaming protocol also makes it so that makes it, so there almost no delay between viewers and streamers, which leads to a more interactive stream. Speaking of audience interaction, there is also a feature called Mixplay, which allows viewers to play select games with their favorite streamers.

Mixer has a strong community, many unique features, great customer support, and is very accessible.

What Does Twitch Do Best?

Twitch’s main advantage is simple: it is the world’s largest gaming and non-gaming content streaming platform. Amazon also owns Twitch, so Twitch users who have Amazon Prime get certain benefits, including free in-game items and free Twitch Prime.

Read: Is a Twitch Account Free?

Due to Twitch’s large community, it is typically the better option for any streamer who wants to build a significant audience. New Twitch streamers have a notoriously difficult time attracting viewers due to the platform being home to countless already-popular streamers.

Twitch is available on both Xbox and PlayStation 4, so those who do not have a PC can still stream straight from their consoles. Neither of them will work on a Nintendo Switch. However, you can watch Twitch on Amazon’s Fire TV. Although you can get Mixer to work on the PS4, it is only native to the Xbox family of consoles.

Twitch Home Page

Twitch’s affiliate program is a great way for streamers to earn money. Twitch also holds an annual TwitchCon, which brings streamers and viewers together for a real-life event.

Ultimately, Twitch is still the industry standard for live streaming. Thanks to its user-friendly features, large audience, and other factors, Twitch is often considered the default option for those wanting to get into streaming.

Twitch vs. Mixer: Which is the Better Streaming Platform?

For years there have been several platforms for streamers, including YouTube Gaming, Hitbox, and Azubu, not to mention the two discussed in this article.

Twitch has to be the leader by far in both its branding and viewership. However, Mixer has upped its game and is becoming a serious contender. Microsoft has carefully considered what mistakes it thinks Twitch has made and has been careful not to emulate them.

Although they both, on the face of it, offer the same type of service, when you use them, they are very different. If you look at any forum discussing the better of the two, it seems this is down to personal choice. Some users that have been using Twitch for a long time stick with it because it is familiar, while others have decided they should try Mixer. This has resulted in the number of viewers and players using Mixer growing fantastically.

How many of those stay with Mixer and perhaps return to Twitch or go to one of the other streaming platforms remains to be seen.

Twitch is a great streaming service for all the gamers out there. Amazon launched it in 2011. Today, it’s not only about video games; you can enjoy art, talk shows, listen to music, and more. There are more than 2 million Twitch users, and many regularly stream for their subscribers.

How to View How Many Subscribers You Have on Twitch

If you have a Twitch account and are unsure how many people have subscribed to your channel, this guide will help you view how many subscribers you have.

How Many Subscribers Do I Have?

You can access Channel Analytics by opening your dashboard and then going to the menu on the left edge of the screen. There’s Channel under the Analytics section, so click to open it. On this page, you can see:

  1. The average number of viewers of your videos.
  2. The number of live views.
  3. How many new followers do you have.
  4. The number of subscribers.
  5. Your revenue, etc.

If you click on each one of these categories, the graph below will show them individually.

In the top corners of the screen, arrow buttons allow you to go back on the timeline and check stats for the past months. On the right side of the screen, you can select how you want to view your stats – by day, week, or month.

If you scroll down and look under the graph, you will discover more information about your channel that you may find useful. There is a list of your top 5 viewed videos, and you can arrange them by average viewers, new followers, or new subscriptions. You may discover what categories bring new viewers and subscribers to your page.

Who Are Your Viewers?

You can also learn where your views come from as you will see the percentage of people who saw your videos because they are following your channel, they have been browsing your page, you appeared as a search result, or others.

How Many Subscribers You Have on Twitch

You could also see these stats if people ended up on your channel from outside Twitch.

Further, if you click View Details, you can gain insight into what countries your viewers come from or what channels have viewed your videos.

Another category your viewers will be divided into is Views by Platform, so you will know if people watch your videos from the web, iPhone, Android, etc.

The All-Important Stats

Checking your stats often can be helpful in many ways. First, knowing how your subscribers view your content on Twitch can help you optimize it for the appropriate device. For example, if your stats show most of your viewers use the iOS or Android app, you should probably avoid adding too many stickers or text on the screen as your viewers can not see them.

Second, if you aspire to become a Twitch affiliate or convert your channel into a source of income, it is certainly useful to track your stats and see what you can do to improve your streaming.

How To Activate or Enable Bits on Twitch https://playerassist.com/activate-enable-bits-twitch/ https://playerassist.com/activate-enable-bits-twitch/#respond Thu, 30 May 2019 21:55:06 +0000 https://www.techjunkie.com/?p=120478

If you have used Twitch before, this platform offers various ways to support streamers.

How To Activate or Enable Bits on Twitch

Bits are Twitch’s donation system that requires no third-party sites or services. It is currently only available to selected channels. Let’s see how to activate Bits on Twitch.

Channel Eligibility

Bits are just one of the ways viewers and subscribers can support their favorite streamers on Twitch. They are also the most affordable way to do it, as viewers can earn small amounts by watching ads on the Twitch site. Larger quantities have to be purchased.

However, not every channel and streamer can receive Bits. Only Twitch partners and affiliates can enable these donations on their channels. Regular streamers with smaller followings are out of luck, and this situation does not seem likely to change shortly.

How Using Bits Works

Bits Emotes

Viewers can use Bits to cheer and support their favorite streamers. Once purchased from the site’s store, Bits can only be used in stream chats. The viewers can usually give as many or as few Bits as they see fit, and there is no limit on how many times a viewer can donate during a particular stream. Each viewer can choose the number of Bits and combine various Bits in a single message.

However, some channels have donation thresholds, and the viewers cannot donate fewer Bits than that. In exchange for the donated Bits, viewers and followers can get badges they can display on the chats where they earned them. Also, top donators can access private chat rooms and other perks.

Streamers get a percentage of the revenue from the Bits donated to them. The rest of the money goes to Twitch. This is the most basic way viewers can donate to their favorite streamers and is currently the only one that doesn’t involve a third party.

How to Activate Bits on Twitch

Twitch has made Bits available to all streamers with either Affiliate or Partner statuses. You do not need to do anything to turn them on. Just adjust the settings for your channel. If, on the other hand, you do not belong to the Affiliate or Partner programs, you won’t be able to access these settings.

Bits and Cheering Settings

Default Bit Badges

To access your channel’s Bits settings, log in to Twitch and go to the Dashboard. Then, click on the Partner/Affiliate Settings tab on the Main Menu bar and click on Bits & Cheering. There, you can make various adjustments. Let’s look at the most important settings.

Threshold Settings

In the Threshold section of the Bits & Cheering menu, you can set the minimum amount of Bits your followers can donate to you. This is a good option if you have recently been promoted to the Affiliate or Partner status and don’t have much of a following. All channels have the default threshold set to 1 Bit.

Also, you can set the smallest Bit Emote your followers can use. For example, if you set the smallest Bit Emote to 100, your followers can not use 1 Bit Emote on your streams.

Badge Settings

Twitch allows all partners and affiliates to customize the badges their followers can earn. Open the Bits & Cheering menu and click the Cheer Chat Badge Settings. There, you can select the badges for your channel. If you do not want a certain badge on your channel, uncheck it.

You can also upload your custom images and rename the tiers. If so, you will have to upload three images for each tier. They will need to be in .png format, and the required sizes are 18 x 18px, 36 x 36px, and 72 x 72px.

Cheermote Settings

Twitch also allows eligible streamers to customize Cheermotes, which replace the default Bit tier animations. But you should be careful not to break the rules when uploading your Cheermotes. Nudity, sexually suggestive images, drug paraphernalia, drugs, racism, sexism, harassing words, explicit words, and other offensive and illegal content can not be featured on your custom Cheermotes.

If you decide to create your Cheermotes, you must upload them in .gif format and ensure they are under 512KB in size. All Cheermotes uploaded in Simple Mode have to be 112 x 112px. If you’re uploading in Advanced Mode, 28 x 28px, 42 x 42px, 56 x 56px, and 84 x 84px sizes are also available.

Over and Out

Twitch’s Bits system is among the best interactive ways for viewers to show support for their favorite channels and creators. Bits are activated by default once you reach Twitch Partner or Affiliate status, but you can’t do anything to activate them before that.

How To Change Your User Name on Twitch https://playerassist.com/change-username-twitch/ https://playerassist.com/change-username-twitch/#respond Thu, 23 May 2019 15:30:37 +0000 https://www.techjunkie.com/?p=118979

First, usernames matter, especially if your platform is as popular as Twitch.

How To Change Your User Name on Twitch

Do you want to be remembered by an old username that makes little sense? On top of that, streamers with creative usernames connected to their brands attract more people to their streams, which is essentially your goal as a content creator.

Aside from showing you how to change your Twitch user name, this article will provide you with interesting Twitch tricks you can try today.

Changing Your Username on Twitch

Since changing Twitch usernames was not initially possible, this was the most requested feature to be added to the platform.

Luckily, Twitch developers listened to the users’ complaints, making name-changing possible on February 24, 2017.

Here is how to alter your Twitch username:

  1. Log in to your Twitch account.
  2. Navigate to your Profile Settings.
    Change Your Name on Twitch
  3. Click on the Edit button (which looks like a pen) in the Username field.
  4. Enter your new Twitch username.

If the username you entered is already in use, you will see a message notifying you to try something else. If no one owns your new username, a green check mark will appear, and you will be okay to proceed.

The final step requires you to click the Update button and enter your Twitch password to verify your changes.

Once you have done everything, Twitch will automatically update your username and channel URL, so you do not have to worry about that.

Some users also worry they will lose their subscribers and followers if they change their usernames. While creating a new Twitch account with a new username means you will have to start from scratch, a simple username change will not make you lose your subscribers.

Your subscribers and followers will immediately see your new Twitch name once you change it.

NOTE: You should be careful when you change your Twitch user name, as you cannot do it again for 60 days. After those 60 days have passed, you can change your username again. Also, remember that Twitch retains discarded usernames in its database for six months before making them available again.

Twitch Change Your Name

To do this, click on the Clips icon at the bottom-right side of the video player. After that, press the Alt and X keys on your keyboard simultaneously. Once you have done that, you can enter your clip’s name, edit it, and share it on social media such as Instagram, Facebook, etc.
