Setekh Wenut is a world boss enemy in Genshin Impact that you can encounter after unlocking the desert regions of Sumeru, the Dendro nation. It is an eyeless predator that dwells within the Great Red Sand that uses sound and vibrations to seek out its prey. At first encounter, you might think it is another variety of the Regisvines, especially with its tail that somehow takes on forms very similar to those of plants.

While exploring the Desert of Hadramaveth, this monster will randomly appear and attack you from underground, making your adventure a little more challenging.

Legend has it that these creatures thrived with their progenitors and offspring in a land of verdant grass and colossal trees, traversing through slick soil like fishes diving through the wet. And after many great changes in the world, they survived by adapting more toward earth-based living.

Some people believe that the Wenut was once the scions of the lord of plants and that this is their way of fooling their prey to seek fruits or food in their deadly shade.

Location

The Setekh Wenut’s nest can be found in the Desert of Hadramaveth in Sumeru, specifically in an underground cave between the Passage of Ghouls and The Sands of Al-Azif.

The easiest way to get there is to travel to the Teleport Waypoint. It can be found south of The Sands of Al-Azif, jumping down the sinkhole right before it.

Special Mechanics

Elements: Type and Resistance

The Setekh Wenut is an Anemo-type creature and uses that element to perform attacks and other abilities. However, since it is not a pure-elemental being, the Setekh Wenut is not immune to Anemo attacks but is more resistant to them than all other elements. If you are not confident with your Anemo characters, bring characters of different elements to fight this monster.

Vulnerability

Throughout the fight, the Setekh Wenut will dig under and crawl out of the ground, jump up, float, and use its tail or head to attack you.

During these times, the monster can be attacked as long as any part of its body is visible. This makes the Setekh Wenut one of the easiest boss enemies to defeat. It is especially easy when you have characters that can deal huge amounts of damage.

Cancellation of Powerful Attack

The attacks performed by the Setekh Wenut are simple, repetitive, and easy to avoid, except for one called Windbite Bullets.

It is a powerful attack that can be canceled while the monster charges it. With this one, you must use a fully-charged aimed shot to have an Elemental Attack hit the Windbite Bullets and trigger a Swirl Elemental Reaction.

Take note that the elements that can trigger a Swirl Elemental Reaction are Pyro, Hydro, Cryo, and Electro. You need a character that uses a bow and an element that is one of these three elements.

Others

Unlike most players believe and/or claim, the Setekh Wenut will perform all its attack moves and abilities regardless of its remaining HP. If you do not attack it, the Setekh Wenut will stop attacking and hide after Windbite Bullets.

Attack Abilities

Setekh Wenut, with its worm-like body, will use its tail and head to perform its attack moves. The tip of its tail can open up, looking like a flower, and cast non-physical attacks.

Tail Sweep

The Setekh Wenut will close its tail and swing it in front to deal with AOE Physical Damage. The animation of this move is pretty obvious. A fan-shaped marking on the ground indicates the area where it will hit. Use this marking as an indication of when and where to dodge.

Head Thrust

While the Setekh Wenut is under the sand, a round marking on the surface will appear, and the monster will come drilling up right after. It will use its head to violently thrust from under the ground and deal physical damage to anyone on that spot. 

Tail Gust

This move will be performed when the Setekh Wenut has been digging and crawling in and out of the ground. Its tail will appear from under the sand and then open up to blow a gust of Anemo energy from one side to the other.

Anemo Beam

Like the Tail Gust, this attack starts with the Setekh Wenut’s tail appearing from under the sand and will have its petal face the ground as a stream of Anemo energy is released. The beam will then be redirected to its front to deal Anemo damage to everyone in its path.

Anemo Shotgun

This move starts with a swing of the Setekh Wenut’s tail to gather Anemo energy accumulated at the petals’ center. The energy will then be shot as Anemo missiles spread out and explode upon hitting the character or the ground.

Anemo Missile Barrage

As the Setekh Wenut crawls up and dives back under the sand, it can fire countless Anemo projectiles from its gills in multiple directions.

Each projectile will deal 50% ATK as Anemo damage, several of which can hit a single target. These, coupled with the unpredictable projectiles’ directions, make this attack ability one of the Setekh Wenut’s most dangerous moves.

Windbite Bullets

To perform this ability, the Setekh Wenut will slowly float up mid-air. While doing so, 6 Windbite Bullets will appear as Anemo orbs.

After a certain duration, the Setekh Wenut will absorb the Windbite Bullets and quickly fire off three rounds of countless Anemo projectiles in an expanding circular direction, covering a wide battle arena area.

As the Setekh Wenut starts floating to summon the Windbite Bullets, shoot them with a fully-charged aimed shot. The elements should be Pyro, Hydro, Cryo, or Electro. These will trigger a Swirl Elemental Reaction when it hits the Anemo orb.

Doing this will cause the Windbite Bullet to explode and hit the Setekh Wenut. Which, done twice, will paralyze the monster and bring it down, giving you 10 seconds to throw in your attacks.

In this state, the Setekh Wenut will have a decreased resistance to the element you used to trigger the Swirl with the Windbite Bullets and paralyze the monster. You should also ensure that the Swirl Reaction with the Windbite Bullets should be triggered consecutively, and both explosions should hit the Setekh Weapon to be effective.

Achievements and Rewards

Achievements

You will be able to unlock the following achievement once you meet certain criteria:

• He Who Controls the Spice… – Use the Windbite Bullets to perform Swirl reactions and bring the Setekh Wenut in its floating form down.
  
• Now That’s What You Call the Four Winds! – Use a Cryo, Pyro, Electro, and Hydro attack each to trigger a Swirl reaction with the Windbite Bullets in a fight against the Setekh Wenut.
  
• I Hate ‘Em Myself – Be attacked by the Setekh Wenut for the first time in the open world, not in its cave nest.
  
• Flat Out – the blind Wenut crashes across the desert, yet even such reckless charges sometimes yield results… To be sure, stand on or beside a rock and have the Wenut appear and attack you so it will hit the rock instead.

Challenge Rewards

After defeating the Setekh Wenut, a Leyline Blossom will appear from which you can gather the following items:

Pseudo-Stamens

These are the thin and pale wing sheathes that look like blooming stamens of a flower. It hides in the Wenut’s tail and is used to mimic flowers believed by some to be inspired by the splendid blossoms countless epochs ago and by others to lure lost prey caught by sandstorms.

Vayuda Turquoise

These mineral crystals can be obtained from boss enemies manipulating the Anemo element. They come in different forms and rarity, including Slivers, Fragments, Chunks, and Gemstones.

Artifacts

You can also get artifacts from this domain, including 2, 4, and 5 stars in rarity. The possible artifact sets you can get are the Berserker, The Exile, Instructor, Lucky Dog, Wanderer’s Troupe, and Gladiator’s Finale.

The rewards include Mora, Adventurer, Character, and Companionship EXP.

With Grenade Trajectory turned on, thrown grenades create a colored trail from where the grenade was thrown and pings locations where it bounces off before settling on a specific spot. Grenade Trajectory can be very useful for determining precisely what walls or crates your grenade bounces off on so you can adjust your lineups accordingly.

Practicing Grenade lineups with Trajectory on is most effectively used in a bot match since we can remove the bots and turn on sv_cheats. We have to turn on sv_cheats because this will help us enable a cheat called “noclip,” which removes any model clipping so players can walk through walls. Neat!

How to Turn On Grenade Trajectory

We need to have Developer Console enabled to start using Cheats. So first, let’s turn on Developer Console.

1. In the CSGO lobby, click the Gear Icon to open the Settings Menu.
   
2. Under the Game tab, look for Enable Developer Console.
   
3. Switch it to YES.
   

Now that we have the Developer Console enabled, we can start a bot match. To do this:

1. In the CS: GO Lobby, click on the Play button
   
2. Click on this drop-down menu.
   
3. Select Practice With Bots.
   
4. Click on Casual.
   
5. Choose the map you want to practice on.
   
6. Click Go.
   

Before anything else, we will need to remove the bots since they will be a distraction, and we are here to practice lineups.

Removing the Bots

1. Press the “`” button on your keyboard (usually to the left of the 1 button) to bring up the Developer Console.
   
2. In the Developer Console, type bot_kick. This should remove all of the bots from the server.
   

Now that the bots are off the server, we can type in the Developer Console commands to turn on noclip and sv_grenade trajectory 1, enabling us to walk through walls and make the grenade trajectory visible.

1. Open the Developer Console again by pressing “`” on the keyboard.
   
2. Type in sv_cheats 1, which will enable cheats.
   
3. In the Developer Console, type noclip. You will need to bind this to a button on your keyboard or mouse so that you can easily enable and disable it without having to retype it each time. This enables you to walk through walls.
   
4. Type bind p noclip into the Developer Console and the command will be bound to your P key on your keyboard. You can change this to any key by replacing the p in the command above.
   In our case, we bound it to our mouse thumb button or mouse4
   
5. Now type in sv_grenade trajectory 1. This should enable the Grenade Trajectory Tracers.

Professional gamers and streamers consider them essential if you play on consoles, as the audio quality is superb. With the console and the PC audio essentially connected, you can open the Discord app on your computer while gaming on your PS4.

As mentioned, this is a relatively expensive option. Even a low-end mix amp can cost up to $100 or more. This is fine if you happen to play a lot, but the price may prove off-putting for casual gamers.

Plugging controller to PC line in

A similar but cheaper solution is to use auxiliary cables to connect the PS4 controller to the PC. It may surprise some that the wireless PS4 controller has a headphone jack underneath. You can set up the PS4 to output game sounds to the controller. This solution takes advantage of that particular function of the controller

You will need a standard 3.5mm Male to Male Auxiliary cable. Plug the aux cable into the controller’s headphone output and plug the other end into your PC’s Line-in audio jack. Once you have done this, turn on your PS4 and proceed to do the following:

1. Hold the PlayStation Button on the controller.
   
2. Go to Sound and Devices.
   
3. Choose Output to Headphones and make sure it’s set to All Audio.

To make sure that your PC recognizes your controller, right-click the speaker icon on the lower right-hand side of your PC to open Sound settings. If the icon is not there, you can access it by:

On Windows 10:

1. Click the Start icon on your Taskbar.
   
2. Choose Settings.
   
3. Choose System.
   
4. Choose Sound.
   
5. Make sure that the output device recognizes your speakers on the Output portion.
   

On older versions of Windows:

1. Open the Control Panel.

To install PlayStationDiscord, you can follow these steps:

1. Go to the PlaystationDiscord website.
   
2. Choose your platform under Binaries and download.
   
3. A prompt will pop up asking you to log into your Sony Account. This app uses OAuth authentication, so it does not record your login information.
   
4. When prompted, choose Enable Rich Presence.

How To Take Screenshots With the Nintendo Switch

First things first. If you want to share a screenshot, you must know how to take it. The buttons for capturing images differ depending on your version of the console. For the regular Switch, the button is located on the Left Joy-Con. It’s the square button just under the directional buttons. The Switch Light is located under the left side, right under the Directional Pad.

All your screenshots are saved in your Switch album. To access this, go to your HOME menu and choose Album from the icons below. From here, you can edit or post your screenshots online.

From Switch to PC via Micro SD Card

As mentioned earlier, there’s no direct way to transfer your screenshots to your PC, but it can be done by transferring the images via a Micro SD card. Be aware that the Nintendo Switch only accepts Micro SD cards. SD and Mini SD cards aren’t compatible with the Switch console.

The default save location for screenshots or gameplay captures on the Micro SD card. If no Micro SD card exists, images will be saved to the System memory. If you wish to transfer images from the System memory to a Micro SD card, do the following:

1. Turn off your Switch and remove the adapter. This is important. Never remove or insert a Micro SD card when your Switch is on. This may cause data on either your Micro SD or your system memory to get corrupted.
   
2. Insert your Micro SD card. The slot is different for the Switch and the Switch Lite.

For the Nintendo Switch, the Micro SD card slot is located underneath the stand on the backside of the console. Lift the stand and insert the card until you hear a click. Note that the proper positioning of the card is shown on the slot. Improper insertion may damage your Micro SD card.

The Switch Lite has a slot in the lower left corner at the back of the console. Gently remove the cover by pulling it down. Make sure that the label for the Micro SD card is facing away from the Switch when inserting it. Wait for the click. Once inserted, slide the cover back on.

Steps to Take to Send Nintendo Switch Screenshots to PC

• From the HOME menu, choose System Settings.
  
• Choose Data Management.
  
• From the menu on the right, choose Manage Save Data/Screenshots and Videos.
  
• Choose Manage Screenshots and Videos.
  
• Choose System Memory.
  
• Choose Copy All Screenshots to Micro SD Card. Note that you move individual images by choosing to Manage individual images instead of System Memory.
  

Once you have your images on your Micro SD card, you can transfer them to your PC. Be aware that unless your PC or laptop has its own Micro SD slot, you’ll need a Micro SD adapter to enable your computer to read the data. Once you do so, you can follow these steps to transfer your images:

1. Turn off your Switch.
   
2. Remove the Micro SD card from the slot. This is done by pushing down on the card so it pops up from the slot. You can then pull the Micro SD card out.
   
3. Insert the Micro SD in your PC’s card slot or use an adapter.
   
4. Once your PC detects the storage device, you can now copy the files to your PC.

How To Delete All Discord Messages

Discord has two distinct types of text messages: Direct Messages, private conversations between two users, and channel messages, which are text chats shared within the entire group on a particular channel.

Each type of message works in different ways and has different rules. When Discord was first released, administrators could delete messages in bulk within the native UI of the app. This caused database problems because too many admins were mass-deleting messages at the same time.

To delete a Direct Message in Discord, you can close the chat panel or erase the specific message so that it disappears from your history.

1. Right-click on the user you’ve exchanged Direct Messages with and select Message.

Unlike Direct Messages, channel messages can be deleted using several methods.

Here are three ways to delete channel messages in Discord.

Method #1: Manual Deletion

Follow these steps to delete all channel messages manually:

1. Open the text channel that has the message you want to delete.
   
2. Hover over the message until the three-dot icon appears on the far right. Click on the icon, then select Delete from the menu.
   
3. A window will open, asking you to confirm your selection. Click the Delete button.
   

This works fine if you just have a few problematic messages to eliminate, but it is unsuitable for removing large text messages.

If you need to delete bulk messages, you must use one of the methods below.

Method #2: Use a Discord Bot

There are a lot of bots to choose from that feature a bulk-delete option. However, the MEE6 bot is the current favorite amongst server admins.

Installing the MEE6 bot is relatively simple. Log into your Discord server and follow these steps:

1. Navigate to the MEE6 website.
   
2. Select Add to Discord.
   
3. Select the appropriate server.
   
4. Select Continue in the popup window to link the MEE6 bot to your Discord server.
   
5. MEE6 will then ask you to grant specific permissions to delete messages. Click the Authorize button.
   
6. For user verification, click the box in the captcha window and follow the verification prompts.
   

Once MEE6 is installed, you can utilize a variety of features from the browser window that pops up, as shown below, or enter commands within Discord Chat to delete messages and more.

To delete messages in your Discord chat app, use the following commands:

• Use ‘!clear @username’ to delete a specific user’s previous 100 messages.
• Use ‘!clear 500’ to delete the last 500 messages on the channel.

You can also change the number to reflect how many messages you want to delete, up to 1,000.

This is by far the easiest method for deleting many messages at once. If the command isn’t working, travel to the MEE6 website and click ‘Moderator.’ Enable this function, and the command will work properly.

Method #3: Clone the Channel

If the MEE6 alternative doesn’t work for you, the final way to delete all messages is to clone the channel. This process creates a copy of the channel without the channel’s old message history.

NOTE: Be sure to list your bots on the channel because cloning doesn’t always copy them to the new channel.

1. Right-click on the channel you want to clone. Select Clone Channel.
   
2. Rename the cloned channel if you wish.
   
3. Delete the old version. Open the new cloned version and add any bots you require.
   

Cloning a channel will also add users from the old one and recreate everyone’s permissions. This process makes it much easier than creating a new channel from scratch. All the messages in the old channel are gone, and your new channel has the same settings.

Recovering Deleted Messages

If you’ve accidentally deleted a few messages and want to recover some for reporting purposes, there are some workarounds for recovering the messages. Messages on Discord are not preserved on the company’s servers after deletion. This means you won’t have the option to retrieve them through Discord, but there are a few tactics worth trying.

You can use a bot that stores all messages or take screenshots as soon as an inappropriate message appears. Assuming you’re trying to report content on a Discord server, you will need proof of that communication to email the support team effectively.

Know Your Options

When dealing with toxic individuals in Discord, there are several options to choose from. These include blocking, muting, deafening, kicking, or banning the individual. While these options can help deal with troublemakers, they all serve slightly different purposes.

Blocking a user prevents them from being able to communicate with you via text. They will still be able to see your messages and will be able to see your status online.

Muting is similar but is for the voice channel. A user that you mute cannot speak on the channel but can still hear what the chat is saying.

Deafen also works on the voice channel, preventing users from hearing what’s being said.

Kicking, of course, means being completely booted off the channel or server. However, a user can rejoin the server after a kick if re-invited.

Ban is the highest level of sanction. A banned user is kicked off the server and cannot rejoin. Also, the administrator can optionally choose to wipe out their messages on the server for the last 24 hours or the last seven days if the administrator feels the user’s contributions were so toxic as to require being removed.

4. Right-click on the server and tap Copy ID.
