Hype is just continuing to build for The Super Mario Bros. Movie, and though Bowser and Mario have gotten the spotlight in all the previews, we have a new TV spot that actually gives us a better look at Charlie Day’s Luigi.

Luigi Gets the Spotlight in Latest TV Spot for The Super Mario Bros. Movie

Check this out:

With Mario being retooled to be the usual everyman that Chris Pratt always plays, the movie also leans in on Luigi’s more cowardly tendencies, and it’s brought to life spectacularly by It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia’s Charlie Day.

Based on what we’ve seen in the trailers, it looks like Luigi is going to spend a good amount of time being held hostage by Bowser, but I think that the relationship with the brothers is going to be at the core of the film—I mean, why else call it The Super Mario BROTHERS and not just Super Mario?

Here’s the synopsis:

While working underground to fix a water main, Brooklyn plumbers Mario (Chris Pratt; Jurassic World and The LEGO Movie franchises) and brother Luigi (Charlie Day; It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia) are transported down a mysterious pipe and wander into a magical new world. But when the brothers are separated, Mario embarks on an epic quest to find Luigi.

With the assistance of a Mushroom Kingdom resident Toad (Keegan-Michael Key; The Lion King) and some training from the strong-willed ruler of the Mushroom Kingdom, Princess Peach (Anya Taylor-Joy;The Queen’s Gambit), Mario taps into his own power.

The Super Mario Bros. Movie releases in theaters on April 5.
